Important Quotes from GC-SDA Counterfeit books

Just imagine with me a moment .......
Everything is bad and getting worse by the day. And then the antichrist appears... in Jerusalem, on the Mount of Olives. The glory surrounding him has never been seen before. All the world follows him. "Christ has come," they say! And the Seventh-Day Adventists go to church that week and the pastor stands up there at the pulpit trying to calm everybody. Then the pastor turns over the time to a guest speaker.*

This new guest is a minister from a local community church. He speaks in calm soothing tones, comforting the audience with his voice.

Now, imagine their terrified shock as this guest speaker tells them what a great woman Ellen G. White was, as he begins pointing out to them how she predicted the very events just past, and commences reading to the members the following quotes from the Desire of Ages and the Great Controversy. DA p 829, GC p 359 (see below)

All my life I was taught that Ellen White wrote these books, now I discover the truth.**

In the time of trouble depicted above what will professed SDAs do? They will believe a lie.

The Desire of Ages .1

Just ask yourself if you believe the text in red, below, could have been written by God's prophet.

"Christ might commission the angels of heaven to pour out the vials of His wrath on our world, to destroy those who are filled with hatred of God. He might wipe this dark spot from His universe. But He does not do this. He is today standing at the altar of incense , presenting before God the prayers of those who desire His help." p. 568, Para. 4, [DA].

When Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven from earth, he began his ministration in the Holy place of that temple. In the first vision God gave to his church through Ellen, he showed us that first, he, then Jesus, left their place in the Holy and went into the Most Holy in a flaming chariot, on October 22, 1844. Since that day both the Father and Jesus have been in the Most Holy place.

The altar of incense is in the Holy place; Christ is not in that place. Therefore we know Ellen, if faithful, could not have written this.

The Desire of Ages .2

"As the place of His ascension, Jesus chose the spot so often hallowed by His presence while He dwelt among men. Not Mount Zion, the place of David's city, not Mount Moriah, the temple site, was to be thus honored. There Christ had been mocked and rejected. There the waves of mercy, still returning in a stronger tide of love, had been beaten back by hearts as hard as rock. Thence Jesus, weary and heart-burdened, had gone forth to find rest in the Mount of Olives. The holy Shekinah, in departing from the first temple, had stood upon the eastern mountain, as if loath to forsake the chosen city; so Christ stood upon Olivet, with yearning heart overlooking Jerusalem. The groves and glens of the mountain had been consecrated by His prayers and tears. Its steeps had echoed the triumphant shouts of the multitude that proclaimed Him king. On its sloping descent He had found a home with Lazarus at Bethany. In the garden of Gethsemane at its foot He had prayed and agonized alone. From this mountain He was to ascend to heaven. Upon its summit His feet will rest when He shall come again. Not as a man of sorrows, but as a glorious and triumphant king He will stand upon Olivet, while Hebrew hallelujahs mingle with Gentile hosannas, and the voices of the redeemed as a mighty host shall swell the acclamation, "Crown Him Lord of all!" p. 829, Para. 2, [DA].

Consider carefully what is being said. This is the second major error in this book. Another one is the claim that Christ made an atonement on Calvary. It is scattered throughout the book and a sister quote on this is handled below, from Acts of the Apostles. But this too is a lie.

Christ's death was a sacrifice not an atonement. The making of an atonement is the work a high priest in the temple, but who was in charge of Calvary?, wicked priests and Roman soldiers; and Calvary was no temple.

It is important to note what your pastor will tell you when you ask him about this quote. He will point you to Zechariah 14:4, which is about Christ's 3rd coming not the 2nd. This action totally avoids dealing with the word "again" in the above; which means Christ's 2nd coming, not the 3rd.

The 1911 Great Controversy .1

"Jesus of Nazareth, the true Messiah," he said, "whose hands and feet were pierced, who was brought like a lamb to the slaughter, who was the Man of Sorrows and acquainted with grief, who after the scepter was taken from Judah, and the legislative power from between his feet, came the first time; shall come the second time in the clouds of heaven, and with the trump of the Archangel" (Joseph Wolff, Researches and Missionary Labors, page 62) "and shall stand upon the Mount of Olives; and that dominion, once consigned to Adam over the creation, and forfeited by him (Genesis 1:26; 3:17), shall be given to Jesus. He shall be king over all the earth. The groanings and lamentations of the creation shall cease, but songs of praises and thanksgivings shall be heard. ... When Jesus comes in the glory of His Father, with the holy angels,... the dead believers shall rise first. 1 Thessalonians 4:16; 1 Corinthians 15:32. This is what we Christians call the first resurrection. Then the animal kingdom shall change its nature (Isaiah 11:6-9), and be subdued unto Jesus. Psalm 8. Universal peace shall prevail." -- Journal of the Rev. Joseph Wolff, pages 378, 379. "The Lord again shall look down upon the earth, and say, 'Behold, it is very good.'"-- Ibid., page 294. p. 359, Para. 1, [GC11].

This material has been placed in "The Great Controversy" to match the above quote in the "Desire of Ages." It is part of Satan's plan to trap SDAs. It is teaching the doctrine of the tribulation that the protestant churches love.

It appears "as if" Ellen White endorses it because not once is it noted as being part of Satan's lies.

The 1911 letter that the General Conference produces to allege that Ellen "approves" of this material is a fake.

Go to this page for proof.

Her first signature is forged and the second signature is stamped. Neither signature matches known and published signatures of about three years previous. This can be verified by checking pages 85 & 101 of, "Ellen G. White Messenger to the Remnant," by Arthur L. White.

The 1911 Great Controversy .2

"Notwithstanding the widespread declension of faith and piety, there are true followers of Christ in these churches. Before the final visitation of God's judgments upon the earth there will be among the people of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The Spirit and power of God will be poured out upon His children. At that time many will separate themselves from those churches in which the love of this world has supplanted love for God and His word. Many, both of ministers and people, will gladly accept those great truths which God has caused to be proclaimed at this time to prepare a people for the Lord's second coming. The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work; and before the time for such a movement shall come, he will endeavor to prevent it by introducing a counterfeit. In those churches which he can bring under his deceptive power he will make it appear that God's special blessing is poured out; there will be manifest what is thought to be great religious interest. Multitudes will exult that God is working marvelously for them, when the work is that of another spirit. Under a religious guise, Satan will seek to extend his influence over the Christian world." p. 464, Para. 1, [GC11].

This can not be found in any original writings.

We do however have an interesting quote, found January 17, 2009:
"When the people of God attain to primitive faith and practice, as they most certainly will under the last message, the latter rain will be poured out, and the gifts will be revived." 1880 Life Sketches, page 333, by James White.

The 1911 Great Controversy .3

"These plagues are not universal, or the inhabitants of the earth would be wholly cut off. Yet they will be the most awful scourges that have ever been known to mortals. All the judgments upon men, prior to the close of probation, have been mingled with mercy. The pleading blood of Christ has shielded the sinner from receiving the full measure of his guilt; but in the final judgment, wrath is poured out unmixed with mercy." p. 628, Para. 2, [GC11].

As of December, 2014, I have not found any evidence that the plagues will not be universal. After all, that is the very purpose of the plagues, to wholly destroy the wicked from off the earth.

The 1911 Great Controversy .4

"Now the event takes place foreshadowed in the last solemn service of the Day of Atonement. When the ministration in the holy of holies had been completed, and the sins of Israel had been removed from the sanctuary by virtue of the blood of the sin offering, then the scapegoat was presented alive before the Lord; and in the presence of the congregation the high priest confessed over him "all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat." Leviticus 16:21. In like manner, when the work of atonement in the heavenly sanctuary has been completed, then in the presence of God and heavenly angels and the hosts of the redeemed the sins of God's people will be placed upon Satan; he will be declared guilty of all the evil which he has caused them to commit. And as the scapegoat was sent away into a land not inhabited, so Satan will be banished to the desolate earth, an uninhabited and dreary wilderness." p. 658, Para. 1, [GC11].

This event takes place before Christ returns to earth, as stated in the 1858 Great Controversy, page 199. It is impossible for the redeemed to be there at that time.

It should be further noted that on the previous page, 657, is stated more clearly the time frame of the event above. Here is the quote: "Christ takes his people to he City of God, and the earth is emptied of it's inhabitants."

Just to be clear, Christ has three roles, prophet, priest, and king. When he came and lived on earth overcoming as a man, he was in the role of prophet. When he went to Heaven, he became a priest. When he comes the second time, he will come as King of kings.

The role of Christ as high priest in the heavenly temple must be completed, and all it's services, including the transfer of sins to the head of Satan, before he comes to earth the second time, for then he will come as King of kings and Lord of lords.

The Acts of the Apostles .1

"As in the typical service the high priest laid aside his pontifical robes and officiated in the white linen dress of an ordinary priest; so Christ laid aside His royal robes and garbed Himself with humanity and offered sacrifice, Himself the priest, Himself the victim. As the high priest, after performing his service in the holy of holies, came forth to the waiting congregation in his pontifical robes; so Christ will come the second time, clothed in garments of whitest white, "so as no fuller on earth can white them." Mark 9:3. He will come in His own glory, and in the glory of His Father, and all the angelic host will escort Him on His way." p. 33, Para. 3, [AA].

This is interesting. Hebrews 8:4 declares that Jesus is not a priest while he is on the earth. Who do you want to believe?

The Acts of the Apostles .2

"Behold the apostle preaching in the synagogue at Corinth, reasoning from the writings of Moses and the prophets, and bringing his hearers down to the advent of the promised Messiah. Listen as he makes plain the work of the Redeemer as the great high priest of mankind--the One who through the sacrifice of His own life was to make atonement for sin once for all, and was then to take up His ministry in the heavenly sanctuary. Paul's hearers were made to understand that the Messiah for whose advent they had been longing, had already come; that His death was the antitype of all the sacrificial offerings, and that His ministry in the sanctuary in heaven was the great object that cast its shadow backward and made clear the ministry of the Jewish priesthood." p. 246, Para. 2, [AA].

More is stated at the top of this page on this point. Here we see a corrupt harmony between the Desire of Ages and Acts of the Apostles. The whole purpose of the great anti-typical day of atonement is to make atonement for sin; which started in October 1844 and will continue till the close of probation. The atonement did not start on Calvary.

The evidence that Ellen did not write this material is far greater than the bare claim that she did and that it came from God. No, God is without a shadow of turning and changeth not. This is my God.
