“The pen is mightier than the sword” is often heard through the halls of time. Man comes up with some true thoughts; God comes up with truth, in it’s purist form.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

I really like this following example.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5

Note carefully the words in red from the above passage.

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5

Now note these words in red. Are they saying the same thing?

Well, let’s stack another precept on top of that and see what happens.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105

How amazing!
God’s word is a light! Psalms 119:105
The Word was God! John 1:1
God is light! 1 John 1:5

Certainly we can not be that far off the mark in our discussion about God’s word. This is worthy of major thought.

God Bless your study
