Do you want life? Do you want spiritual life? Are you satisfied with your spiritual life? Have you stopped watching TV? (It’s not called “programing” for nothing.)

I strongly urge, and encourage you to enter into the “rest” of which Hebrews speaks. It is in part,  the study of the Bible, through allowing the Bible to be it’s own dictionary. This requires spiritual discernment. It is not natural with us. We must go to God, the giver of life, and ask for life, spiritual discernment, that we might “see” the strait and narrow path God would have us travel.

We must leave the Laodicean “state” of mind, and enter into the Philadelphian “state” of mind. Sometimes, in order to change our “state” of mind, we may need to change our physical “state.” In this case, it probably is important to cut off the input of error, evil, wickedness, all of Satan’s offering, so that we create spacetime for God’s offering. Part of this would be refusing to listen to the error proffered by the SDA church of this time.

By taking action on what you can do, you, by your “works,” in faith, show your seriousness about learning truth. God will bless such actions, your “steps” on the path, and will help you grow in grace.

Here is an interesting text to ponder as you traverse this day.

    Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Isaiah 30:12

Here are some definitions to expand your understanding.

    Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.  Galatians 3:7
    Israel = children of Abraham = you (if you are in the faith)

    Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?  Job 10:3
    oppress = despise

    I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.  Amos 5:21
    despise = hate

    He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.  Job 36:15
    oppression = affliction

    A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.  Proverbs 15:4
    perverseness = a breach in the spirit

    Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love.  Song of Solomon 2:5
    stay = comfort

Now you can go back and do your own paraphrase of the text.

God Bless your Growth in Grace
