It’s an amazing thing to me as I notice how Christ talked to the Jews.

Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? John 2:18-20

Christ did not try and tell them which words were to be spiritually understood and which were to be physically understood. Perhaps they should have understood them spiritually because what Christ said in this instance was, for man, a physical impossibility.

But he was often speaking to them in parables, dark sayings, and these stories were listened to by the masses, but they were charmed by the storyteller, not the part they didn’t understand. And Christ did not explain it to them, he let them go, the ones who wanted to, were anxious to get to bed, back to work, home in time to eat something, whatever it was, they did not ask him for an explanation.

But some did.

And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: Mark 4:10-11

So it was, that after the meeting some stayed, to ask. And for them, Christ explained it all. They got the mystery of the kingdom of God, they got the meat!

The real kicker to this whole thing is this, anybody could have got the same thing, it was free! for the asking!!

Here are some good questions.

How about you?
Are you willing to ask?
Are you willing to cherish what you do have now?
Why should God give you more light if you are doing nothing with what you have?
Are you just wanting some excitement?
What exactly are you doing now? spiritually?
How is this going to help you in working out your own salvation?
Is that Ok?

We live on the threshold of eternity…. With a God who so loved us that he gave his only Son to save us, so that we can become immortal, like him, and we can live together, enjoying each other, forever….

God Bless your Study
