I have always been attracted to the story of Enoch. Can you imagine, walking with God? Which leads us to the oft’ repeated verse.

Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Amos 3:3

The obvious answer is no. The question that comes to my mind is where? where would we meet to be agreed? If we look at Christ, our example in all things, that meeting place would have to be in words and acts. Faith and works is pretty much the same thing. We have faith in the words (from the Bible) we read because we have proved them to be from God. Faith is trust; “in God we trust” is stamped on our coin.

Trust is a decision we have made, which is a thought in our minds— THIS now becomes parent to good, righteous acts. Eve, at the tree, listened to the snake talk, because she listened to his words, she was deceived into trusting those words. Now comes the child of those thoughts, an act… of disobedience. The Bible says “and when the woman saw,” meaning it took some time for the deception to sink in. And THEN she believed the fruit to be “good for food.” But it was not, as she later found out.

All Heaven mourned on account of the disobedience and fall of Adam and Eve, which brought the wrath of God upon the whole human race. They were cut off from communing with God, and were plunged in hopeless misery. The law of God could not be changed to meet man’s necessity; for in God’s arrangement it was never to lose its force, nor give up the smallest part of its claims. p. 49, Para. 2, [1SP].

To Adam in his innocency was granted communion, direct, free and happy, with his Maker. After his transgression, God would communicate to man through Christ and angels. p. 53, Para. 3, [1SP].

Communion with God was cut off. But God proved something in Enoch. God proved that he would accept man again into communion through angels.

God communed with Enoch through his angels, and gave him divine instruction. p. 60, Para. 3, [1SP].

At length he [Enoch] chose certain periods for retirement, and would not suffer the people to find him, for they interrupted his holy meditation and communion with God. He did not exclude himself at all times from the society of those who loved him and listened to his words of wisdom; neither did he separate himself wholly from the corrupt. He met with the good and bad at stated times, and labored to turn the ungodly from their evil course, and instruct them in the knowledge and fear of God. He taught those who had the knowledge of God to serve him more perfectly. He would remain with them as long as he could benefit them by his godly conversation and holy example, and then would withdraw himself from all society–from the just, the scoffing and idolatrous, to remain in solitude, hungering and thirsting for communion with God, and that divine knowledge which he [God] alone could give him. p. 62, Para. 1, [1SP].

This harkens back to the idea of personal messages from God to you. I think everyone who studies the Bible at all agrees that every time they read it they “see” something new. Is not this a personal message from God? I think so.

What is it, exactly, that we are getting? It is words— Christ, his image, from his book, the Bible.

Little wonder that there are so many references to hearing in the Bible. Hearing what? Words.

And after the close of probation, what is it that so many want and suffer for not having? Words.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: Amos 8:11

Better study those words now while you have the chance. Besides, some VIP said, “they are they which testify of me.”

Continuing our reading from James’s book, Life Incidents.

1. The three messages constitute a solemn warning to the world to prepare for the coming of Christ. The closing division of this great warning is a test to the world and ripens the harvest of the earth. Those who receive the warning and prepare for the coming of the Lord, are ripened by it for immortality. Those who reject it, are ripened for the day of slaughter. p. 339, Para. 1, [LIFE].

2. The warning given by Noah, the manner his message was treated, and the wrath of God in a flood of water, illustrate the closing events of the present state of things. “As the days of Noah were, so also shall the coming of the Son of man be.” God did not call this preacher of righteousness to warn the next to the last generation before the flood, but the very last. The very generation which drank the waters of the flood, saw Noah build the ark, and heard his warning voice. How absurd the supposition that Noah built the ark, and gave his warning message in the time of next to the last generation, so that those who heard his message and saw his work, passed into the grave, and the ark went to decay, and their children came upon the stage of action to witness unwarned the terrors of the flood. p. 339, Para. 2, [LIFE].

3. The last great warning was to be given to the last generation of men. They very ones who hear it, receive it, obey it, and are waiting for the Lord, will exclaim, as the Son of man shall return with his angels down the blazing vault of heaven, “Lo! this is our God, we have waited for him, and he will save us.” And the very men who reject the warning, and justly merit the wrath of God, will also witness the second advent in flaming fire with terror and anguish. This warning is not given to next to the last generation, but to the very last. Then, as certain as the great warning, illustrated by the three messages of Rev. xiv, had been, and is being given in our day, just so certain the generation that has heard the warning will witness the day of wrath, and the revelation of the Son of God from Heaven. One of two things is certain; either Seventh-day Adventists are wrong in the application of the messages, or Christ is very soon coming. If they are correct in their application of the great warning, then the very men who hear it will witness its terrible realities. p. 339, Para. 3, [LIFE].

“Verily I say unto you,” says Christ, “this generation shall not pass away, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” Matt. xxiv, 34, 35. We do not believe that the word generation marks any definite number of years. The Lord designed to teach that the people who should live at the time of the fulfillment of the last sign mentioned (falling stars of 1833,) and should hear the proclamation of the coming of Christ, based partly upon the fulfilled signs, should witness the scenes connected with his coming. God has raised up men to give the solemn warning to the world at the right time. The signs were fulfilled at the right time to give force to the warning. And the very generation of men that live after the three great signs are fulfilled, and who hear and reject the warning message, will drink the unmingled cup of the wrath of God. And those of this very generation who receive the message, suffer disappointment and endure the trials of the waiting position, will witness the coming of Christ, and exclaim, “Lo! this is our God, we have waited for him.” p. 340, Para. 1, [LIFE].

Dear reader, if watchful and faithful to duty, we shall very soon enter the harbor of eternal rest. Keep a good look-out. Oh, be not deceived, and overcome by the world, the flesh, and the Devil. True faith forbids your looking into the future, and laying plans for the benefit of the next generation. It shuts you up to the present. But it is to be feared that those who are employing their physical and mental forces to accumulate wealth for their children, while they are neglecting their duty to the cause of present truth, and do not give themselves and families time to seek and serve God, are making a terrible mistake. They not only fail to help the cause, and fail to walk with God, and fail to exert the best influence in their own families, but their influence in professing so solemn and definite a position as that the present is the period for the third and last solemn warning, while in works they deny their faith, is decidedly against the cause. p. 340, Para. 2, [LIFE].

The world exhibits madness in grasping for wealth. A spirit of insanity has taken hold of men upon the subject of worldly gain; and many who profess present truth are more or less imbued with it. With those who do not fear God and keep his commandments, and are not looking for the soon coming of his Son, this is what might be expected. But with Seventh-day Adventists there is no excuse. With them it is insanity and madness. Why should they accumulate wealth for their children? Should the Lord remain away a hundred years, wealth handed down to them would be their almost certain ruin. Look to the history of truly good and great men. Have they sprung up amid wealth? Or have they come from families trained in the school of poverty and want? Read the histories of the early lives of martin Luther and Abraham Lincoln. Both were poor boys. But they soon became great men, by facing want, grappling with poverty, and overcoming those obstacles ever lying in the path of want. Such a struggle in early life gave them experience, and was the safeguard of their purity. While the names of these good men are embalmed in the memory and affection of the people, those of hundreds, who received riches from their parents, have rotted, because money was in the way of their doing what they should have done, and being what they might have been. setting aside the coming of the Lord, there is no more certain ruin to the children than for them to look to, and lean upon, their parents wealth. p. 341, Para. 1, [LIFE].

But what can be said of the influence of those brethren who profess to believe that the last great warning to the world is being given, yet devote their entire energies to accumulating wealth for their children? What can be the influence upon their children? Is it not to lead them to love this world? to put off the coming of the Lord? to neglect the necessary preparation? Are they not taking a course directly to shut them out of the kingdom of Heaven? And is there any hope of the salvation of either parents or children while pursuing such an inconsistent course? Without the faith of the soon coming of the Lord, they are pursuing a course to secure their ruin. With this faith, while pursuing a course to deny it in work, they are making that ruin certain. p. 342, Para. 1, [LIFE].

The short period of probation remaining should be improved in laying up treasure in Heaven, and seeking that preparation necessary to its enjoyment in the next life. Parents, I entreat of you, live out the precious Advent faith before your children. Lead them to Jesus, and teach them by your faith and works to secure a preparation for his coming. Let your influence in favor of truth and holiness extend to all around, that it may be said to you, “Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord. p. 342, Para. 2, [LIFE].

This material gave me a much needed better handle on the subject. Clearly God has called us to a unique position. Holding that position is not easy, but it is God ordained as the very best thing for us in this patient, waiting, watching time.

There is coming a day in the which the proud will cry like babies and haughtiness of man will be put right where it belongs, in the dust.

I was doing some reading on the latest Mars rover and in the discussion was this short paragraph. I just had to share the ignorance in proud man, so puny that we can barely make it to the nearest planet!

There is more, adds Meyer. Our knowledge about life’s appearance on our own planet is abysmal. Billions of years of biological, chemical, meteorological and geological activity on Earth have obliterated all evidence of its origins. “We do not know where it started, how it started, when it started, or what biochemical precursors led to its appearance,” Meyer points out. Here is the link to the story.

All one has to do is look plainly at the evidence in your face. has been on the net for several years now, plus these scientists supposedly have such a well rounded education that they must have run across the truth at some point. God gives us the truth on this matter.

For this they willingly are ignorant of [still!! in spite of the years that has been around!!], that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 2 Peter 3:5-7

Too many people are willingly ignorant about too many things. SDAs are willingly ignorant of what the Spirit of Prophecy is all about. Simply because it’s too painful, because it points out the sin in our lives that we must overcome to gain eternal life. But our idol pet sins are too precious to us to give them up, and like the rich young ruler, we walk away, in love, but in love with the wrong things.

Beware what you are loving. Examine the golden threads that are attached to your affections. Do you have affection for your dog? or cat? These are not bad things, just make sure Christ comes first. What was it that Lot’s wife was thinking when she looked back? Was it a good friend? Or was she curious? We don’t know. We are just told not to look back.

Better cut those golden threads now while it’s easy, or you may find the urge to look back irresistible…..

Matthew 24:14 tells us when the end will be.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14

There are many in the church who are preaching that we have to spread this gospel to all the world so the end can come. They preach and teach this because they are not walking in the light of the Midnight Cry. They are walking in darkness and know it not.

This gospel of the kingdom HAS BEEN preached in all the world for a witness. That end spoken of HAS COME, we are living in it now. Everyone since October 22, 1844 has been living in the time of the end. It’s been 169 years long now.

Time was a test for the early Advent people, but for those living since October 22, 1844 time has been a test in a different way; not a specific time or date, no, but an indefinite time stretches before them, testing, trying their faith. God was well aware of this future and gave us fair warning.

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 2 Peter 3:3-4

Now the SDA church does not exactly follow what is laid out in these texts, but it is the subtle lies of Satan that they preach and teach. They make much of the idea that the pioneers held mistakes so we can not learn from them or their experience; in this they deny the light of the Midnight Cry and in truth actually speak the very words of The Day-Star, “that it was not God that had led them out so far.” Attributing the work of God to Satan is blasphemy.

And what is this distance that is “so far?” It is none other than the separation from the world that we MUST maintain. We are on enchanted ground! There is danger at every step! Goliath, that rebel-lion is running around destroying people who should be in Heaven. But he does not appear as a hideous monster, no, he comes as an angel of light, as the good looking, clean, well thought of, good speaker, minister, who teaches the lies of Satan when they should be teaching the truth.

Here is a good example.

And the video of this SDA pastor preaching this lie is still available from their website.

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 2 Peter 3:5-6

Here I will again promote the site that will totally amaze you in the huge amount of documentation on the flood that is available anywhere.

And I just found this, “Methuselah (tree)” from Wikipedia. Satan wants to cover up the truth of the flood and many people trust what so called experts claim. It’s good to have expert help with lots of things, but when they are willing to twist the truth to their own ends, you must prove all things and inspect what you expect. Here is an excerpt.

Methuselah is a 4844-year-old[1] Great Basin bristlecone pine (Pinus longaeva) tree growing high in the White Mountains of Inyo County in eastern California.[2][3] For many years it was the world’s oldest known living non-clonal organism, until superseded by the discovery of another bristlecone pine in the same area with an age of 5063 years (germination in 3051 BC).[1] The tree is named after Methuselah, a Biblical figure having the longest mentioned lifespan in the Bible of 969 years.

It just so happens that the flood occurred about the year 2348 B. C., but there is clearly an agenda that must be met. Either God preserved this tree through the flood or it was transplanted there by the flood and adapted to the very harsh climate. I have my doubts.

What we do have are the amazing discoveries of Ron Wyatt who found the Red Sea crossing and documented it. He also found the right Mount Sinai, whose whole top is burnt to a crisp. And there are other artifacts at the base of the mountain where the Israelites camped.

By ignoring these discoveries they make themselves willingly ignorant of the facts and prevent others who trust them from discovering the truth themselves.

Terrible will be the consequences of these actions.

Every now and then, or when I get a “hankering,” 😉 I put up something about the flood and promote this site:

The really beautiful thing about this site, it has far too much evidence to ignore. This guy has done what the SDA church has refused to do, collect and make accessible the evidence for the flood.

You can spend days reading the proof of superior human activity on earth, both before and after the flood. And there is just too much of it! It’s been hidden in plain sight by simply ignoring it.

The man in this video has found a bone, a human bone, one that had to be five (5) times our own size. Check it out.

Humans five (5) times our size.

This is the starting page for the giants.

Evidence of amalgamation, also known as DNA manipulation.

Here is another site which opens another door of evidence.

And during the American Civil War some soldiers shot a bird, but what a bird it was!!!

God has left plenty of evidence, that all may be without excuse.

There is this remarkable story in the Bible,… about a man called Noah.

I was reading on something the other day and this text caught my eye. That is how God works you know. First, we must set the stage. I want to bring some apparently disconnected thoughts together, then show you the connecting thought, or text in this case.

God told us early on, in The Day-Star, an interesting piece of information. I’ll show a bit of the context and then we will extract what we are after.

The 144,000 shouted, Hallelujah! as they recognized their friends who had been torn from them by death, and in the same moment we were changed and caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air. We all entered the cloud together, and were 7 days ascending to the sea of glass, when Jesus brought along the crowns and with his own right hand placed them on our heads.

The first thought is the marked text. On to the second one.

This deals with calendering issues. That the Advent pioneers were correct in their reckoning of October 22, 1844, should be a mute point. That was, or would have been, an actual Day of Atonement feast. They figured that Christ would return to earth on that day.

Because they were correct in 1844 does not mean we would, or could be correct about calculating a future date. I’ll explain.

We have a pure Bible record that Christ was crucified on a Friday. Yet today, in 2013, according to the best calculations man can make, as reported by many, using government, it seems to have been Navy? resources, Christ was actually crucified on a Wednesday. I take this as proof that man can not accurately calculate God’s time. Hold that thought.

Let’s review some thoughts about Noah’s ark. It was a means of transportation from a world destroyed by God to a new world. It was the rescue ship, the lifeboat. It was the communicating link from the old to the new.

Now I will remind you of what we are told in No. 20, pages 42-49, that the authentic Spirit of Prophecy is not to give new light. This means that everything we are told has it’s source in the Bible, it is our job to dig it out; probably though the use of the language of Heaven, spiritual things spiritually discerned, the Bible defining it’s own words.

Here is the text.

And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat. Genesis 8:4

I was brought to tears as I meditated on this text.

The Day of Atonement was on the tenth day of the seventh month.

If Christ were to come on that day, then it will take seven days to get to Heaven.

If the ark were a figure of the cloud upon which Christ comes and upon which the saved ride to Heaven, then it would be on the seventeenth day of the seventh month the saints would arrive.

I do not believe that man will be able to calculate God’s time. God can do anything. He made the sun stand still, he made it go backwards. He can have the new moon show up when he wants it to show. He is not indebted to the laws of nature as we know them.

This would make the mountains of Ararat a figure of Heaven, or something in Heaven.

We know the Rest is spiritually entering into God’s word, which is housed in the Ark of the Covenant. In the text the ark rests after the trip on the seventeenth day, in a new world.

Using these, not yet proven to be correct, figures from a real, literal story, combined with our other thoughts introduced above, we get the Bible confirmation of The Day-Star vision in the seven day trip to Heaven for all the redeemed.

There is a great deal that needs to be studied on this, yet the figures seem to be a match. An amazing match actually. The whole story of Noah, as written, may hold much information for the 144,000 as they enter the final scenes of earth’s probation. Certainly the closing of the door is a figure of the close of probation. Lot’s to think about….

Sunday February 17, 2013

Today’s post is of a very serious nature. I have a link to a youtube video of the 2003 fire at a bar where fire broke out and 100 people died. Apparently the video was taken by a local TV station. It shows the action inside the bar, the band revving up, everybody drinking and partying, having a good time.

Much like in the spirit of, Eat Drink and be Merry for tomorrow we die. What none knew is that they only had minutes to live, about 7.

Link for the fire at The Station.

I found this comment on the net.

Yesterday 231 people were killed in Brazil [January 27, 2013], victims of a fire that turned a nightclub into a death trap. The incident is similar to the República Cromañón fire that killed 194 people in 2004 in Argentina or “The Station” fire in USA in 2003, where 100 people died. We’re talking about hundreds of people dead at a time. All three cases took place in nightclubs during concerts, and in all three cases fireworks and special effects used by the band started the fire. In less than a minute, these nightclubs become true deathtraps.

It only took about 40 SECONDS for the trap to close at The Station. 100 people, all dressed up and looking cute, pretty, handsome, and alcohol on the brain. They had given up their ability to react properly for the buzz of the booze, the approval of peers, the life of the party.

After the fire starts the cameraman backs out of the place and films the people piling up in the doorway. Then the fire becomes an inferno. Most of the ones on the bottom died from two things, being crushed and smoke inhalation.

It’s moving to see IRL (in real life) a tragedy like this unfold. It forces you to think. You are helpless to do anything to stop the carnage. About 2:22 minutes after the fire starts, there is a human plug in the exit openings. Most of these you see are going to die.

You, hopefully, are on the Ark. The angel comes and closes the door. The wicked come and party outside. They think they are making fun of you. You know you are preparing for the rain that is going to fall any day. You are seriously making everything you can, tightly put away.

Someone pounds on the door. You walk over to the door. You hear a voice —it’s familiar. Your heart jumps. The voice says you were right, there are clouds in the sky and raindrops are starting to fall, won’t you please let me in. There is nothing you can do. All these you have seen are going to die. It’s been 7 days since the door was closed.

We have to do what we can, now, for most of those you see are going to die. We must do our best to make the truth attractive. Now while probation lingers. The search is on for the ones who will believe.

We do what we can. God opens the way and we put up a presence on the web. Many come and look, but the deception of Satan is strong, very strong. People have a hard time believing that they have, or could have been deceived by Satan. That the authentic Spirit of Prophecy could have been counterfeited is an idea that is just too foreign, too “out there.” This can not be. They will not read and study for themselves. They will die too.

We all have a chance. All Heaven was poured out in Christ’s first advent. John the Baptist came first, preparing the way. All Heaven is to be poured out is the final warning. The 144,000 the church of Philadelphia is present to prepare the way.

Where do you fit in?

Noah stood at the threshold of, literally, a new (ly) re-made world. He knew that everything left behind would be destroyed. Including people. He plead. He preached. He worked. He successfully saved seven other people.

Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.  1 Peter 3:20
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;  2 Peter 2:5

James White points out that at that time the preaching of one man condemned the whole world.

What if only eight of the 144,000 remain to go through the time of trouble such as never was, the time of Jacob’s trouble? Is it possible?

You remember that Enoch and Elijah were both translated without seeing death. Both represented the 144,000 in some way. Jonathan also represents the 144,000, and he was cut down, “slain in thine high places.” 2 Samuel

You also remember John the Baptist. Beheaded. As may be indicated by the last three of the six reasons stated in Revelation 20:5.

Something big is afoot. Many things are not revealed, perhaps for our own good.

Genesis tells us the story of the flood. Someone asked why it was there were no children on the ark. I don’t have the answer, but I will remind you about the story of Rahab of Jericho. Keep that in mind.

And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.  Genesis 7:1
And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.  Genesis 7:7

I had never given it a thought before, children on the ark. Time to do some checking on what we know about this.

These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:  Genesis 11:10

This means Shem was 98 when the flood came + or – some, they must have had children, but like Lot, they had to leave them behind?

Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.      Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.  Genesis 13:11,12

Lot studied the world, wanted to like it, moved closer to it, wanted it’s gain, yet it cost him dearly.

And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it. And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for the LORD will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law. And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. Genesis 19:12-17

Perhaps Noah’s children were many, who’s to say? Maybe like Rahab, because of her faith many were saved; because of Noah’s faith his family were saved. In each case we have a time of mercy, a call to action, a deadline, a shut door, destruction.

I would venture to say that there were some of Rahab’s relatives that scoffed at the idea of going to her place for safety. It’s too simple a plan. And Lot discovered that getting as close to sin and sinners as possible has a devastating effect. Noah’s case can not be much different. We can not be much different either.

It might be time to think differently about these things. After all, he was a representative of the 144,000.

This is also a good time to remind you of the flood evidence site,, check it out.

Friday April 20, 2012

I wish to expand on yesterday’s post, the part about laying the pride of man in the dust.

Because of the economic environment of America, many have a fair amount of financial power. Pride is quite readily associated to this power. Here are a few lines that describe what is happening today.

God saw that the more he enriched and prospered sinful man, the more he corrupted his way before him. These treasures, which should have led man to glorify the bountiful giver, had been worshiped instead of God, while the giver had been rejected. p. 81, Para. 1, [1SP].

Pride was a major issue with Satan. It is a major issue with the world today. How few are willing to follow Christ, our meek and humble example.

To adapt some thoughts from Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 1, to our subject today, is my purpose. Think back to your reading of the chapter “The Flood” as we go on, and see why God is using the passage of time, rather than, an instant solution.

Probation closed, Noah and company stepped into the Ark, an angel closed the door, sealing them in. But nothing happens. That is it. Life goes on as before. People are commuting to work, fixing food, eating lunch, birthing babies; there are a lot of people on the planet. The Ark, ever how big it is, occupies a very small spot on the planet. People are watching the news on Noah, the crazy man.

But nothing is happening, at all. Life is normal, the weather is normal, everything is normal; day after day. A party is held at the boat. Lot’s of laughing and drinking, calling out to Noah, &c., for seven days, nothing happens at all. Confidence is very high that Noah was stupid, an idiot.

On the eighth day the sky began to fill with clouds. It’s important to understand that the earth had a layer of water that surrounded the whole earth, and made the earth one huge greenhouse. That was it’s effect. There was a large layer of air from the ground up that had no clouds. But this day clouds began to form. Notice that it is not instantaneous. God is using the passage of time to allow these people thinking space, to show out their characters.

The clouds grow dark, with which we are familiar, and it begins to sprinkle. That is how rain begins. This time, people are remembering the words of Noah, and there sits the Ark. Now, instead of a party and laughter, people are in wonder, asking questions, walking over to shelter to keep from getting wet.

Now the sprinkles are getting bigger, people are thinking more and more about what Noah said. Perhaps the more forward looking ones head on over to the Ark and knock on the door. The sight of this causes some to begin to think that, well, after all, maybe I might have been, not quite correct about Noah.

Slowly at first, the sprinkles became rain. But still, it’s only inconvenient. But we better check on Noah. I am sure Noah and his family well heard the knocking, well recognized several voices at the door. Now they were helpless too. All had their destiny sealed eight days ago. The cries of the doomed at the door increase, as does the rain.

Now the rain has made the construction site of the Ark a muddy mess. No one cares. They are thinking about tying themselves on to the Ark, but there are no rope cleats on the Ark. It was never intended for any dock.

As time goes on the rain is increasing. People in their homes are knowing fear as those homes start leaking at the seams. With no rain before that time, there was no need to seal up a home as we do now. Water began running through the house. Now fear is turned to panic.

A wicked people have filled up the measure of their guilt and an offended God is executing justice. The rain is continuing to increase. The pride, the power of man is being put down. They have money, gold and silver, but there is none to sell a boat. There are none to sell God’s mercy. They still have power in their minds and bodies, this they use. It’s time to abandon the low ground. Rivers are rising and beginning to rage. The ground everywhere is turned to mushy mud.

Lightening starts. God uses his arrows to destroy the idols of the wicked. He destroys the beautiful groves and homes the people worshiped. The wicked are held speechless as they watch their world end, and it is forced upon them that it is for their sins that all this is happening. Now they know, they are doomed to death by drowning.

The storm increases. The wicked have some hope, run to high ground. Watch as the masses struggle up to the top of the mountains. We all know that the higher you go, the less room there is. The fighting for space becomes intense. The storm is now joined by jets of water bursting out of the ground. Water pours out of the sky no longer just rain. In the exact reverse of what we know now, the water rises faster, not slower!

Finally the waves and uprooted trees lap hungrily near the top of the mountains. Each wave sweeps a mass of people off the mountain. The time given has driven home the point that Noah was right about God, and God will not at all acquit the wicked, and God was using the water to destroy the wicked off the earth.

Ellen was told that if she should once see the Father, she would cease to exist. See “The Day-Star, second part. God takes time to allow the reality of the situation to soak in. Stress shows forth everyone’s true character. God is revealing to the universe that the wicked have “learned the lesson of genuine rebellion against the unchangeable law of God; and this is incurable.” Page 21 of Vol. 2, Spirit of Prophecy.

There is a penalty for sin.

But, whosoever will, may have life, if they will be obedient and follow Christ.
