In spite of what you or I may feel at any time, we have a God who made us, who, with the tender care of a loving parent, watches over us ensuring our safety. He never sleeps. He lives forever. Our hope rests in the things he says.

Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. Isaiah 46:3-4

You want security?, right here it is. We can trust our God. Because he never changes we have true security. We found our hope in what he says because he never changes. Because of this we know that even if we die before he sends his Son the second time, we will live again!

It’s important to keep these things in mind as we go through our day. It’s a part of the armor we can use to keep Satan’s suggestions out of our minds. It keeps our faces shining with heaven’s light, the light of faith, hope, and trust in a living God!

I am exasperated! There is a constant stream of vomit and filthiness that must be waded through to get the truth in researching the authentic Spirit of Prophecy vs the counterfeit SOP. I sometimes feel like I have jumped into a septic tank that must be bailed out by hand!!! Gross, YES!!! Sometimes necessary. Lord have mercy and give me strength to swim this filthy tide!

In picking up Questions on the Sealing Message, by J. N. Loughborough, published 1916, to check something else, my eyes fell upon these lines, page 18, which were highlighted.

If there is still a doubt of the resurrected Sabbath keepers’ being numbered with the 144,000, consider the following from Sister White’s words in 1909. At the General Conference in 1909, Elder Irwin had a stenographer accompany him in a call upon Sister White. He wished to ask her some questions, and have an exact copy of the words of the replies.
Among other questions was this one: “Will those who have died in the message be among the 144,000?” In reply, Sister White said: “Oh, yes, I those who have died in the faith will be among the 144,000. I am clear on that matter.” These were the exact words of question and answer, as Brother Irwin permitted me to copy from his stenographer’s report.

Previous to this I had not put much weight on this information, because we have The Day-Star and the 1858 Great Controversy, page 205, which, when combined, show clearly that all those who hear the voice of the Father giving the day and hour of Jesus coming and watch him come to this earth are, in fact, the 144,000, there are no others present.

After reading Loughborough’s comments today, I decided to see if Elder Irwin’s notes might be available on the White Estate CD. In checking this, I found the muck! and that is what I hate about doing this research. I feel dirty handling this junk! Here is what was found.

e. The Interviews: He [Elder G. A. Irwin] has with him a little notebook in which he has noted down perplexing questions which he brings before me, and if I have any light upon these points, I write it out for the benefit of our people, not only in America but in this country [Australia].–Letter 96, 1899. {3SM 51.1}
f. When There Was No Light: I have no light on the subject [as to just who would constitute the 144,000]. . . . Please tell my brethren that I have nothing presented before me regarding the circumstances concerning which they write, and I can set before them only that which has been presented to me.–Quoted in a letter by C. C. Crisler to E. E. Andross, Dec. 8, 1914. (In White Estate Document File, Number 164.) {3SM 51.2}

Let’s walk through this.

1.) Elder Irwin is getting written up in a letter dated 1899, for the exact same thing which Loughborough is describing in 1916, as having happened in 1909. So we can surmise that Irwin had a habit of doing this type of thing.

2.) Now all this is being written up in book 3 of Selected Messages. Lo, and behold! the very next item on that very page is a question about the 144,000, as to who they would be constituted of. And we have a letter (read proof here), dated December 8, 1914, of “Ellen’s” answer. “I have no light on the subject….”

3.) Just five years previous we have a highly credible report from a man who has made it a habit to ask Ellen, personally, difficult questions, and a highly credible report of the answer to one of those questions, from a man, who had only eight more years to live, but was a true pillar of the church, verified so.

But we have two “Ellens”!!!!!

God’s prophets do not speak with forked tongue!!!

This is another one of those cases where you MUST decide. You are forced to choose! You can not have it both ways!

Either Ellen was true and faithful to God, or she was not.

On this site we prove that Willie was Satan’s agent to re-write the entire authentic Spirit of Prophecy and that he took control immediately after James’ death, writing his views, his thoughts, his opinions, then putting Ellen’s name on the work as his authority it were, her work.

As we contemplate the probable near future… this portion from No. 8 looks worthy of a review. Too many times we get in a rut and forget to broaden our reading to full scope of what we have available. This reads a little differently, but is in perfect harmony with the 1858 Great Controversy as well as the rest of the Spirit of Prophecy.

The Future. p. 112, Para. 3, [8OT].
At the transfiguration Jesus was glorified by his Father. We hear him say, “Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.” Thus before his betrayal and crucifixion he was strengthened for his last dreadful sufferings. p. 112, Para. 4, [8OT].

As the members of the body of Christ approach the period of their last conflict, “the time of Jacob’s trouble,” they will grow up into Christ, and will partake largely of his Spirit. As the third message swells to a loud cry, and as great power and glory attends the closing work, the faithful people of God will partake of that glory. It is the latter rain which revives and strengthens them to pass through the time of trouble. Their faces [minds] will shine [teach God’s Word] with the glory of that light [the Word] which attends the third angel. p. 112, Para. 5, [8OT].

I saw that God would in a wonderful manner preserve his people through the time of trouble. As Jesus poured out his soul in agony in the garden, they will earnestly cry and agonize with him day and night for deliverance. The decree will go forth that they must disregard the Sabbath of the fourth commandment, and honor the first day, or lose their lives; but they will not yield, and trample under their feet the Sabbath of the Lord, and honor an institution of Papacy. Satan’s host, and wicked men, will surround them, and exult over them, because there will seem to be no way of escape for them. But in the midst of their revelry and triumph, there is peal upon peal of the loudest thunder. The heavens have gathered blackness, and are only illuminated by the blazing light and terrible glory from Heaven, as God utters his voice from his holy habitation. p. 112, Para. 6, [8OT].

Here is the special resurrection of only the righteous saints that have “died in faith under the third angel’s message, keeping the Sabbath.” 1858 Great Controversy, page 205.

The foundations of the earth shake, buildings totter and fall with a terrible crash. The sea boils like a pot, and the whole earth is in terrible commotion. The captivity of the righteous is turned, and with sweet and solemn whisperings they say to each other, “We are delivered. It is the voice of God.” With solemn awe they listen to the words of the voice. The wicked hear, but understand not the words of the voice of God. They fear and tremble, while the saints rejoice. Satan and his angels, and wicked men, who had been exulting that the people of God were in their power, that they might destroy them from off the earth, witness the glory conferred upon those who have honored the holy law of God. They behold the faces of the righteous lighted up, and reflecting the image of Jesus. Those who were so eager to destroy the saints, could not endure the glory resting upon the delivered ones, and they fell like dead men to the earth. Satan and evil angels fled from the presence of the saints glorified. Their power to annoy them was gone forever. p. 113, Para. 1, [8OT].

Remember that the image of Jesus can only be acquired this side of the close of probation. We must get ready now!

The Spirit of Prophecy is in a unique position for God’s people of the last days. It would seem best expressed in these words from No. 20, page 44.

The Lord deigns to warn you, to reprove, to counsel, through the testimonies given, and to impress your minds with the importance of the truth of his word. The written testimonies are not to give new light; but to impress with vividness upon the heart the truths of inspiration already revealed.

Anything God does for his people should be cherished as very important. Think about it. This is our Creator doing something to help us get to Heaven. Anyone, who in any way, tries to lower the Spirit of Prophecy, proves to all, his great spiritual darkness and great danger attends.

These next two passages also contain the word image, which I had searched on for this part of studying about God’s word.

Those who do not really wish to know themselves, will pass off the reproofs and warnings to others, and will not discern that their own cases are met, and their errors and dangers pointed out. Earthly and selfish motives blind the [shades of Mark 4:10-11] mind, and so operate upon the soul that it cannot [can not understand spiritual definitions] be renewed in the divine image [the Word]. All who do not, by their own perverse natures, resist His will, [the will of God, John 6:39] will not be left in darkness, [being left in darkness is not having light, which is God’s word] but will be renewed in knowledge [this is the entrance of Word(s)] and true holiness, and even glory in the cross of Christ [note that this defined in 1 Corinthians 17 & 18, it is the power of God]. p. 165, Para. 2, [20OT].

And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. John 6:39

It seems that the word it would apply to God’s church as they are the only ones of which Christ “should lose nothing.”

The Lord, by close and pointed truths for these last days, is cleaving out a people from the world, and purifying them unto himself. Pride and unhealthful fashions, the love of display, the love of approbation, all must be left with the world, if we would be renewed in knowledge after the image of Him [the Word] who created us. “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared unto all men, teaching us, that denying ungodliness, and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world, looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” p. 73, Para. 1, [21OT].

This re-new-ing is about being changed, a re-making of the man. We know it better as the new birth. I would encourage you to go back and read about Nicodemus. John, chapter 3. And let’s not forget John 6:63, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”

We have covered the alleged “partial resurrection” several times before. You can click on the topic by that name, well, actually, “They that Pierced Him,” on the right of this post to access the former posts, a good read if you are new to the site.

A dear Sister in the faith brought to my attention this text and it’s bearing on the false partial resurrection.

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:6

There are two points in this text that are in perfect harmony with the vision God gave to Ellen and published in The Present Truth, No. 11, page 92, global paging. Here is the excerpt.

Then at the close of the 1000 years, Jesus, and the angels, and all the saints with him, leaves the Holy City, and while he is descending to the earth with them, the wicked dead are raised, and THEN the very men that “pierced him,” being raised, will see him afar off in all his glory, the angels and saints with him, and will wail because of him. They will see the prints of the nails in his hands, and in his feet, and where they thrust the spear into his side. The prints of the nails and the spear will then be his glory. It is at the close of the 1000 years that Jesus stands upon the Mount of Olives, and the Mount parts asunder, and it becomes a mighty plain, and those who flee at that time are the wicked, that have just been raised. Then the Holy City comes down and settles on the plain.

The caps on the word “THEN” from above are emphasized that way in the original text. There are only two resurrections. The first resurrection is only of the righteous, for none of the wicked are “blessed and holy.” That the first resurrection has two parts does not make one part a third resurrection.

The verse just before our subject verse also confirms that there are only two resurrections, by calling the two parts the first, and confirming that none of the wicked are resurrected. Then, in verse six, hell is identified as the second death. No where is there a third death mentioned.

The millennium of Rev.20 is to open with the revelation of the Son of God from Heaven, the destruction of the living wicked, the resurrection of the just, and the change to immortality of the living righteous. It is a period in which Christ will reign personally with the just of all ages who have suffered with him. 2Tim.2:12. This period is bounded at each end with a resurrection. Christ plainly declares that “all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life, and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” John 5:28,29. And Paul testifies “that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.” Acts 24:15. But it is left to the Revelator to place these resurrections one thousand years apart, at each end of the millennium. Sermons on the Coming and Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, page 12, 1870.

Many would make of Daniel 12:2 another resurrection, primarily Uriah Smith, separate from the rest of the righteous, but we have God’s positive instruction in the vision given above and in Revelation 20:5 that none of the wicked are resurrected at, or before, Christ’s second coming. We know that God knows “the end from the beginning” and that there “is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” who “changeth not.” Our God is a sure anchor for the saints. We can always count on him!

Some want argue about Christ’s coming in the clouds of Heaven. These are the angels, Acts 1:9. And this is a false argument anyway, there are clouds at both the second and the third coming.

It is at the third coming that every eye will see him. Why? Because it is then that all the righteous are present and living and all the wicked are present and living.

Nevertheless, it’s important that we give space to have peace between us. Not every little point is worth disfellowshipping over. Give people spacetime to grow.

Wednesday July 10, 2013

Many people these days are thinking that time is about done, or, in other words, Christ will return soon. But it’s always about five to ten years out.

We are in the patient, waiting, watching time. I am and will be largely focused on and taking phrases from, No. 16, pages 85 to 104, titled Epistle Number Seven for today’s post. It is quite specific to this point of being in expectation of Christ’s second coming. I highly recommend that you print out these nineteen pages, get your marker out and read them, mark them; if that does not move you to a higher level of awareness of Christ’s very near return, then read it again while pleading with God in your heart to impress you of the great importance of this matter!

I am a fourth generation SDA. We are now 169 years from 1844. Because of this seemingly great disparity in expectations many keep Christ’s coming about ten years out, which really is a form of “forever,” but in their actions are proclaiming their true faith, that Christ is not coming in their lifetime, so an “I must take care of me” attitude springs up and without notice our minds are filled with the world and there is found no place in our minds for that all important seal.

But maybe you were not planning to go anyway? In which case you can just skip this post and get on with your day, right? But if you are planning to go, maybe, just maybe, you should do what it takes to get these pages into your mind.

It’s been over forty years since I graduated from academy. My Dad and my Mom are in the grave. It’s over for them, their probation has closed. It does not matter if Christ was coming, because he didn’t. But this is a major point in this whole thing. If Christ does not come before you die, your probation closes at death; therefore, you MUST prepare NOW, not later. There is no “later.”

Those that have died in the faith of this message are resurrected by the voice of the Father, but this is the deliverance of the saints. There are no trials to be endured, no temptations to resist, and no overcoming to do, for all are perfect as they come from the grave. Did the grave change them? No! They were perfect when they went into the grave.

And that is exactly where we are to be. We must overcome the world in the here and now.

God foresaw all this and took the very best route to preserve the saints all through the patient, waiting, watching time. And that method is to believe in the immediate second coming of Christ. That is the key.

If we are keeping that glorious event foremost in our thoughts every day, we will make better decisions when it comes to worldly business. Maybe God has some work for you to do that you can not do if you take that job in Arkansas (a state in the USA). We weigh our decisions based on what is in our minds. If our minds are full of the world, we are going to make a decision based on the suggestions that Satan is constantly putting in our minds. That is what the world is all about.

If your mind is filled with faith and trust in God, believing in the immediate second coming, you will probably make better, more spiritual decisions. You will weigh matters on spiritual scales instead of the world’s scales.

The great importance of this whole thing is for us to understand that we MUST get ready for eternal life right now. Then, it will not matter if comes this year, next year or in another hundred years; because you will have the seal in your mind that you must have upon the closing of your probation; which happens at your death or when Christ throws down the censer.

I feel the danger to the saints on this point. As interesting as world events are, they are nothing compared to your perfection of your character. Embrace what you must, what God puts in your path today. He did it to get you perfected. He is preserving your very life to give you tests and trials that reveal your true condition to you. Accept this, embrace this, love God for his great mercy to work to prepare us. It is the bitter cup he has given us in mercy and love.

Then, whatever happens—you will be sealed.

Sabbah June 29, 2013

I fell to thinking about the seven day trip to Heaven this morning.

Why seven days? What will we be doing during that time?

This might possibly be a partial answer. Think about this. We will all have just been rescued! This resurrection event is the grand culmination of the Gospel dispensation. All the saints will have a true conscious understanding of going into the prisonhouse of death, either at the hands of the wicked through martyrdom or natural causes; now suddenly! set free!!! rescued!!!

In an instant from those pangs of death or the threat thereof for the 144,000, to the glow of immortality and a rising from the earth to meet Christ in the air!!! I believe there will be great expressions of thanks to God as faith has become sight!!!

We actually have a biblical precedent for this. Remember when the three were thrown into the fiery furnace? the flames so hot they slew those strong men who threw them in, shooting seventy five feet into the air!

Those three chose death at the hands of the wicked. In their own minds they were martyred. Yet instead of heat they experienced “a moist whistling wind” as they passed into the furnace. Then in the Apocrypha we have the story. I believe this story will be lived out again at Christ’s second coming, a thousand times a thousand and thousands of thousands! as the rescued saints realize the substance of their faith.

I am going to put that story here, in it’s entirety, for your convenience. I pray that this Sabbath day you will see these things with the eye of faith, enter into the PRAISE OF GOD!!! by faith as he rescues all the saints the final time! Ponder your own reaction as you personally realize this deliverance from the jaws of death! Will you not be as grateful as the three in the furnace? I think so. Ponder as you read this Sabbath day of that future’s day of joy unspeakable!!!

The Song of the three holy children, which followeth in the third Chapter of Daniel after this place, [And they walked in the midst of the fire, praising God, and blessing the Lord.] That which followeth is not in the Hebrew; to wit, [Then Azarias stood up] unto these words, [And Nabuchodonosor.]

1:1 Then Azarias stood up, and prayed on this manner; and opening his mouth in the midst of the fire said,
1:2 Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our fathers: thy name is worthy to be praised and glorified for evermore:
1:3 For thou art righteous in all the things that thou hast done to us: yea, true are all thy works, thy ways are right, and all thy judgments truth.
1:4 In all the things that thou hast brought upon us, and upon the holy city of our fathers, even Jerusalem, thou hast executed true judgment: for according to truth and judgment didst thou bring all these things upon us because of our sins.
1:5 For we have sinned and committed iniquity, departing from thee.
1:6 In all things have we trespassed, and not obeyed thy commandments, nor kept them, neither done as thou hast commanded us, that it might go well with us.
1:7 Wherefore all that thou hast brought upon us, and every thing that thou hast done to us, thou hast done in true judgment.
1:8 And thou didst deliver us into the hands of lawless enemies, most hateful forsakers of God, and to an unjust king, and the most wicked in all the world.
1:9 And now we cannot open our mouths, we are become a shame and reproach to thy servants; and to them that worship thee.
1:10 Yet deliver us not up wholly, for thy name’s sake, neither disannul thou thy covenant:
1:11 And cause not thy mercy to depart from us, for thy beloved Abraham’s sake, for thy servant Issac’s sake, and for thy holy Israel’s sake;
1:12 To whom thou hast spoken and promised, that thou wouldest multiply their seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand that lieth upon the seashore.
1:13 For we, O Lord, are become less than any nation, and be kept under this day in all the world because of our sins.
1:14 Neither is there at this time prince, or prophet, or leader, or burnt offering, or sacrifice, or oblation, or incense, or place to sacrifice before thee, and to find mercy.
1:15 Nevertheless in a contrite heart and an humble spirit let us be accepted.
1:16 Like as in the burnt offerings of rams and bullocks, and like as in ten thousands of fat lambs: so let our sacrifice be in thy sight this day, and grant that we may wholly go after thee: for they shall not be confounded that put their trust in thee.
1:17 And now we follow thee with all our heart, we fear thee, and seek thy face.
1:18 Put us not to shame: but deal with us after thy lovingkindness, and according to the multitude of thy mercies.
1:19 Deliver us also according to thy marvellous works, and give glory to thy name, O Lord: and let all them that do thy servants hurt be ashamed;
1:20 And let them be confounded in all their power and might, and let their strength be broken;
1:21 And let them know that thou art God, the only God, and glorious over the whole world.
1:22 And the king’s servants, that put them in, ceased not to make the oven hot with rosin, pitch, tow, and small wood;
1:23 So that the flame streamed forth above the furnace forty and nine cubits.
1:24 And it passed through, and burned those Chaldeans it found about the furnace.
1:25 But the angel of the Lord came down into the oven together with Azarias and his fellows, and smote the flame of the fire out of the oven;
1:26 And made the midst of the furnace as it had been a moist whistling wind, so that the fire touched them not at all, neither hurt nor troubled them.
1:27 Then the three, as out of one mouth, praised, glorified, and blessed, God in the furnace, saying,
1:28 Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our fathers: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.
1:29 And blessed is thy glorious and holy name: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.
1:30 Blessed art thou in the temple of thine holy glory: and to be praised and glorified above all for ever.
1:31 Blessed art thou that beholdest the depths, and sittest upon the cherubims: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.
1:32 Blessed art thou on the glorious throne of thy kingdom: and to be praised and glorified above all for ever.
1:33 Blessed art thou in the firmament of heaven: and above all to be praised and glorified for ever.
1:34 O all ye works of the Lord, bless ye the Lord : praise and exalt him above all for ever,
1:35 O ye heavens, bless ye the Lord : praise and exalt him above all for ever.

1:43 O ye fire and heat, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:44 O ye winter and summer, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:45 0 ye dews and storms of snow, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:46 O ye nights and days, bless ye the Lord: bless and exalt him above all for ever.
1:47 O ye light and darkness, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:48 O ye ice and cold, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:49 O ye frost and snow, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:50 O ye lightnings and clouds, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:51 O let the earth bless the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:52 O ye mountains and little hills, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:53 O all ye things that grow in the earth, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:54 O ye mountains, bless ye the Lord: Praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:55 O ye seas and rivers, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:56 O ye whales, and all that move in the waters, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:57 O all ye fowls of the air, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:58 O all ye beasts and cattle, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:59 O ye children of men, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:60 O Israel, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:61 O ye priests of the Lord, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:62 O ye servants of the Lord, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:63 O ye spirits and souls of the righteous, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:64 O ye holy and humble men of heart, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:65 O Ananias, Azarias, and Misael, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever: far he hath delivered us from hell, and saved us from the hand of death, and delivered us out of the midst of the furnace and burning flame: even out of the midst of the fire hath he delivered us.
1:66 O give thanks unto the Lord, because he is gracious: for his mercy endureth for ever.
1:67 O all ye that worship the Lord, bless the God of gods, praise him, and give him thanks: for his mercy endureth for ever.

I will make a further comment at this point. Because of the similarities of the above to the Catholic mass I have to believe the mass to be Satan’s counterfeit of real praise to God. We have some shades of understanding on this point found in Christian Experience and Views, page 36, wherein we are instructed by God, “‘Continual repetition,’ said the Angel, ‘yet God is glorified by it.’” It appears that we have some things to learn about true praise to the Father.

Few subjects carry the import that the Sanctuary and it’s services does. The Sanctuary was given to the children of Israel, and by extension to us, to teach by illustration the work of the Father and Christ.

When Christ left this earth he entered the Holy place as our High Priest and there to minister until October 22, 1844, at which point the Father went into the Most Holy and Christ followed, there to continue as our High Priest “making his final intercession” during the great anti-typical Day of Atonement services. 1858 Great Controversy, page 163 and you are urged to read it.

Participating in these services by faith is mandatory for all who have light available to them about the Sanctuary message. This is a part of walking in the light of the Midnight Cry because it is that light that points to the Sanctuary. This the GCSDA church has rejected, years ago. Today it is much easier to spot because the apostasy has matured.

The following is some notes on this video* where SDA Pastor Gifford Rhamie at the SEC and NEC Campmeeting 2011, is on camera stating (25 seconds into the video), “in the Hebrew concept of perfection, there is no understanding of flawlessness, or sinlessness” “however we understand the word perfect today we have injected this notion of flawlessness and sinlessness.” He quotes from his studies in hermeneutics, exegesis, &c., bringing man’s wisdom to the study of God’s word. “this is how it ought to be understood” “in the Bible perfect or perfection does not reference flawlessness or sinlessness, it never is.”

The video is here interrupted by apparently some Q&A. A brave soul speaks up rebuking the apostasy with the voice of truth, that we must be sinlessly perfect before our probation closes.

The video is again cut and the pastor continues, “listen to me! the work of sanctification is not leading a sinless life, because you will never get there.”

This is the mantra of the SDA church, hook, line and sinker. To teach no perfection is to teach that you must sin. To teach that perfection has a different meaning other than perfect is to teach that perfection means you must sin. This is what this pastor is teaching.

Here is what God would teach us.

Our wrong habits cannot be taken to Heaven with us and unless overcome here, they will shut us out of the abode of the righteous. Bad habits, when opposed, will offer the most vigorous resistance; but if the warfare is kept up, with energy, and perseverance, they may be conquered. p. 188, Para. 3, [30OT].

In order to form correct habits, we should seek the company of persons of sound moral and religious influence. We should constantly bear in mind that we may be fitting to inhabit the heavenly courts. The precious hours of probation are granted that we may remove every defect from the character; and we should seek to do this, not only that we may obtain the future life, but that we may be useful here. p. 189, Para. 1, [30OT].

And there are a great many more lines that could be placed here, but this is enough.

If there is no perfection here, then where? Where is the following of Christ? If Christ is not perfect in Heaven in the sight of his Father, he would be destroyed. Remember that Ellen did not actually go to Heaven, she was show in vision, in a virtual 3-D reality, many things that God had for the church. It appears that is why she could behold Holy things and not be destroyed.

Think about the resurrection. There is no time then to work on our character.

*A note about the video. They are using the counterfeit SOP which we know is highly dangerous. We do not approve of such a position. Every position must be in perfect harmony with the KJV Bible, the authentic Spirit of Prophecy, and the true pioneers. These three, in this order, have been set in the church by God for our guidance.

I was reading Ecclesiasticus, from the Apocrypha, and found this text.

And if thou seest a man of understanding, get thee betimes unto him, and let thy foot wear the steps of his door. 6:36

I used to know a man like that, sorta. His name was Mr. Earl Bowen. Quite the character. One of the things I liked about the man, he had no TV. Well, that’s not entirely true. I do remember seeing one there. I think someone tried to get it working once. It seems it did, just barely.

He was a teacher at a continuation high school, a fancy name for a high risk job, a school for those just ready to graduate to real trouble or, as in the case of those he was able to reach, become a useful citizen.

He told a story of having to walk a street at night in a bad neighborhood. Shortly, a group of guys showed at the other end headed toward him. He told me that he had learned to detect when people were carrying a blade, these were.

When he got close enough he called out, “Well boys, it’s good the stars are out nice and bright!” Instantly one of the guys called back, “Hey! it’s Danger!” that was his nickname because that was his warning call to students, and he ran up and greeted Mr. Bowen and introduced him to his friends. That’s how God protected him.

I remember him telling about the baby quail he raised. Apparently something had happened to the hen and he must have hatched the eggs. Those babies road on his arms, shoulders and head as he walked around his place, scattering at the sound of danger, coming to his call. In a very short time they were all grown and away on their own. The magic was over.

He rests now in the sides of the earth, 2 Esdras 2:31, I hope, not fully knowing. God will choose. I loved that man, like as a true father in Israel did he warn and counsel. I miss his face, though memory does not fade and the voice I hear, I long to share the truth I know he did not.

Who can estimate the value of a voice of godly reason in a timely season.
Can it be that this man God doeth see?
A guidepost along the way, some wandering kid to provide a stay.

I morn the unknown and lean upon this my God. “Wisdom crieth without” and so few there be that even seek her, at all, in the least! It’s small wonder then the words “when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

We haven’t much time left. This life is mankind’s second chance. Your life is your sole chance to perfect a character fit for eternal life. Will you do it? Will you?

All Heaven has been poured out to give you a chance. Will you take it? Will you yield to the drawing of the Father?

We are all in the same boat, as it were. There is only one way to Heaven, God’s appointed way, through Christ and obedience. Will you go?

Lay your pride in the dust and choose the better thing, to suffer here for a better hereafter.

In The Advent Review, EXTRA, published September 1850, written by Hiram Edson, there is some amazing things to be understood. Starting on page 175-176 we are treated to some points I never heard before. I’ll put some excerpts below to show the high points and I highly recommend it for reading.

Ahab did evil above all that were before him. This is an example of the wickedness of the end of the world, which is above all that has ever been before it. Jezebel, the wife of Ahab, is a figure or example of the Catholic Church, see Rev. ii, 20.

Jezebel slew all the prophets of the Lord except Elijah. So Jezebel, the Catholic Church, has slain her millions of Christians.

This is an interesting point. Hiram had to have known about Obadiah hiding one hundred of the prophets. That makes his statement not exactly accurate, but we can let him slide on that one. I noticed that he says “except Elijah.” If Elijah is a representative of the 144,000, which he is, then this looks like none of the 144,000 will be subjected to

Balaam was a magician, and used enchantments, and was sought unto by kings, to bless them, and to curse their enemies. See Num. xxii, 6, 7. He seems to be a figure or example of the pope, who has acted the part of Balaam in blessing and cursing.

Speaking in answer to some critics,…

But we will answer them in the language of Elijah to Ahab. We have not troubled Israel: but thou and they father’s house, in that ye have FORSAKEN THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD, AND THOU HAST FOLLOWED BALAAM,’ (the Pope.) The commandments of God, then was the message of Elijah when he came out of the wilderness.

I am officially impressed! Since 2006 (+/–) I have been studying this truth and am continually amazed at the new revelations of what is truth, applicable to today. The more it opens the more I realize how little I know or understand of God’s wisdom.

What more will we understand before we see his face?
