Time for a little Bible lesson.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105

We are going to focus on the word lamp. God’s word is a lamp.

And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. Genesis 15:17

Spiritually, God’s word is a lamp. Here we are being taught by God that his lamp is burning.

The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. Leviticus 6:13

Spiritually, God’s word shall ever be burning. Period. Don’t be afraid to eat one small bite of God’s words.

He [John the Baptist] was a burning and a shining light: John 5:35

Spiritually, John the Baptist was God’s word teaching God’s word. (Psalms 119:135 shine is to teach)

John the Baptist is a representative of the 144,000, Spirit of Prophecy, Vol.2, page 44. Check out this verse.

Then stood up Elias [Elijah] the prophet as fire, and his word burned like a lamp. Eccleasiasticus 48:1 That’s right, from the authentic Apocrypha.

Spiritually, Elijah was God’s word. And his word was God’s word not his own.

Elijah is a representative of the 144,000, Spirit of Prophecy, Vol.2, page 337.

Shifting gears a bit. Often the spiritual definitions have two sides, just like a coin. Here are a few verses on the other side of this spiritual definition.

Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or caldron. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth. Job 41:19-21

That would be Satan, the leviathan.

An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire. Proverbs 16:27
Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross. Proverbs 26:23

Clearly this is not a reference to God or his words. As you study remember that often the definitions you learn have a good and a bad side. It’s just a part of God’s plan.

That man might not lose the blessed results of benevolence, our Redeemer formed the plan of enlisting him as his co-worker.

Being a co-worker is not the same as a co-redeemer, as some claim against those who promote the Bible position of faith and works.

By a chain of circumstances which would call forth his charities, he brings man under the best means of cultivating benevolence, and keeps him habitually giving to help the poor, and to advance his cause. He sends his poor as the representatives of himself. A ruined world is drawing forth from us by their necessities talents of means and of influence to present to them the truth [the Word], of which they are in perishing need.

A pure chain of texts shows exactly what it means “to present to them the truth.”

1.) Psalms 119:105 where God defines his word as a lamp and a light. The other words tell what they are used for.

2.) In Genesis 5:17 God adds the word burning to lamp, thus we have God’s word as both a burning and a lamp.

3.) Back to Psalms 119:135, here God defines to shine means to teach.

4.) John 17:17 is the definition of truth. God says it is his word.

5.) John 5:35 is where Christ was discussing John the Baptist. Christ identified John as a burning and a shining light.

We know that John the Baptist was a representative of the 144,000, the saints who are living in the end of Matthew 24:14.

John was a representative of the people of God in the last days, to whom God has committed important and solemn truths. Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 2, page 44.

Now we can say, in order “to present to them the truth” God people must be like John the Baptist who, Christ says, was God’s word teaching God’s word. That is the spiritual definition of “a burning and a shining light” as taught by God.

And as we heed these calls, by labor and acts of benevolence, [faith and works] we are assimilated into the image of him [the Word] who for our sakes became poor. In bestowing, we bless others, and thus accumulate the true riches. p. 74, Para. 1, [24OT].

The moral darkness of a ruined world pleads to Christian men and women to put forth individual effort, to give of their means, and of their influence, that they may be assimilated into the image of Him [the Word] who, though he possessed infinite riches, yet for our sakes became poor. The Spirit of God cannot abide with those to whom he has sent the message of his truth [the Word], who need to be urged before they can have any sense of their duty to be co-workers with Christ. The apostle enforces the duty of giving from higher grounds than merely human sympathy, because the feelings are moved. He enforces the principle that we should labor unselfishly with an eye single to the glory of God. p. 88, Para. 2, [24OT].

Perfecting your character is a work every bit of which is glorifying God. It is a work of faith and works together, and a cleaning of ourselves by taking a shower, as it were, in the living water of the Word. Following the example of Christ in all things.

Now comes clear the imagery of Paul as he identifies this very process.

That he might sanctify and cleanse it [the church] with the washing of water by the word, Ephesians 5:26

How amazing!!! So much comes clear as we correctly understand the Word and God’s definitions for that Word.

The more I get into this study of Psalms 119:105 and the spiritual understanding of those words, the more astonished I am at the other things to be found in the authentic Spirit of Prophecy and other Bible texts. It’s an opening of the vail of the deeper things of God. An entering into the mystery of the kingdom of God.

Just look at this passage from No. 20, page 173-174.

We are only accountable for the light that shines upon us. The commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus are testing us. If faithful and obedient, God will delight in us and bless us as his own, chosen, peculiar people. When perfect faith, and perfect love and obedience, abound, working in the hearts of those who are Christ’s followers, they will have a powerful influence. Light [God’s word] will emanate from them, dispelling the darkness around them, refining and elevating all within the sphere of their influence, and bringing to a knowledge of the truth all who are willing to be enlightened, and follow in the humble path of obedience. p. 173, Para. 2, [20OT].

This reads like a description of John the Baptist! And why not? is not this Spirit of Prophecy for the 144,000? of which John the Baptist was a representative.

Those who possess the carnal mind cannot comprehend the sacred force of vital truth upon which their salvation depends

Remember 1 Corinthians 3:1-3?

because they will cherish pride of heart, love of the world, love of ease, selfishness, covetousness, envy, jealousy, lust, hatred, and every evil. If they would overcome these, they might be partakers of the divine nature. Many leave the plain truths of God’s word, and neglect to follow the light that shines clearly upon their pathway; but are prying into secrets not plainly revealed, and are conjecturing, and talking, and disputing, in regard to questions they are not required to understand, for they have no special reference to their salvation. Thousands have been beguiled in this way by Satan. They have neglected present faith and present duty which were clear and comprehensive to all who have their reasoning powers; and they have dwelt upon doubtful theories, and scriptures which they could not comprehend, and have erred concerning the faith. They have a mixed faith. p. 174, Para. 1, [20OT].

One of the items not plainly revealed is the vision where Ellen heard the angel say, “Some food for worms, some subjects of the seven last plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth, to be translated at the coming of Jesus.” p. 18, Para. 1, [2OT]. I have not found a way to explain how some could be subjects of the seven last plagues. I just trust that God has an answer and at the right time he will reveal it.

God would have all make a practical use of the plain teachings of his word in regard to the salvation of man. If they are doers of the word which is plain and powerful in its simplicity, they will not fail to perfect Christian character. They will be sanctified through the truth, and through humble obedience to the truth, will secure everlasting life. God wants servants that are true, not only in word, but in deed. Their fruits will show the genuineness of their faith. p. 174, Para. 2, [20OT].

It’s there, for whosoever will ask, seek, and knock.

These Bible words make a nice lesson. Watch the parallel phrases and words, then the definitions.

To know wisdom and instruction;
To perceive the words of understanding;

To know is to perceive. Wisdom and instruction are words of understanding.

To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity;
To give subtilty to the simple,
To the young man knowledge and discretion.

To receive instruction is giving subtilty and knowledge and discretion.

A wise man will hear,
and will increase learning; and

Hearing is to increase learning and attaining.

A man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

A wise man is a man of understanding and understanding is wise counsels.

To understand a proverb, and the interpretation;
the words of the wise, and their dark sayings. Proverbs 1:2-6

A proverb is the words of the wise and the interpretation is a dark saying.

There is no true wisdom apart from God and all wisdom is in fact Christ, the Word, in you, the hope of glory; the same Word was in the beginning, “and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5

So God sent John the Baptist before Jesus Christ to prepare the way; “John was a representative of the people of God in the last days, to whom God has committed important and solemn truths,” Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 2, page 44. Of him Christ said, he was God’s word teaching God’s word, John 5:35.

This means… that if you accept this method of hearing and increasing your learning, you will come to know wisdom, instruction and perceive words of understanding, you will receive instruction from God, gain subtilty, knowledge, discretion, the understanding of proverbs, parables, the words of the wise men of God and their dark sayings and be obedient to this instruction.

You will become a part of that group of the people of God in the last days of whom John the Baptist was a representative. Think very carefully of how John lived… and died.

Monday April 1, 2013

To review a little bit, we have this greater light that God made, that rules the day, Genesis 1:16, and this is, we think, the spiritual words of the Bible explaining other spiritual words of the Bible.

Remember John 5:35? Christ told us that John the Baptist was a burning and a shining light, which meant that he was God’s word teaching God’s word. He was a representative of the 144,000, therefore, they can also be defined in this same way; God’s word teaching God’s word.

Isaiah 28:12 tells us “this is the rest.” From Hebrews 4 we understand that this rest is the Sabbath rest. Not just an appearance at church to get your card punched, but an appearance before God to have him teach you with his words what his other words mean in this hidden truth.

This is the Sabbath seal. We are in the sealing time of the 144,000. That’s on page 22 of No. 23. This is the seal of the Father’s name. What is his name? It is his word. But if you do not hang out after the meeting, wait til Jesus is alone, and go up and ASK, ask, seek, knock, you will not get an answer to a question you do not ask, you will not find something you are not looking for, and no doors will open to you that you are not knocking on.

But if you do, you will hear Christ’s words to you, “unto you it is given to know…… the mystery of the kingdom.” Mark 4:10.  Then you enter that rest. Then you prepare for translation to immortality. Then when you hear ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands and thousands of angels singing glory to God, you will be able to bear it.

Many will be lost, hoping and desiring to be Christians, but they made no earnest effort, therefore they will be weighed in the balances and found wanting. The will must be exercised in the right direction. I will be a whole-hearted Christian. I will know the length and breadth, depth and hight [sic] of perfect love. Listen to the words of Jesus. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Ample provisions are made by Jesus Christ to satisfy the hungering and thirsting soul for righteousness. p. 88, Para. 2, [17OT].

The pure element of love will expand the soul for higher attainments, for increased knowledge of divine things, so that it will not be satisfied short of the fullness. The most of professed Christians have no sense of the spiritual strength they might obtain were they as ambitious, zealous, and persevering to gain a knowledge of divine things as they are to obtain the paltry, perishable things of this life. The masses professing to be Christians have been satisfied to be spiritual dwarfs. They have no disposition to make it their highest object to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; hence, godliness is a hidden mystery to them–they cannot understand it. They know not Christ by experimental knowledge. Let men and women who are satisfied with their dwarfed, crippled condition in divine things, be suddenly transported to Heaven, and for an instant witness the high, holy state of perfection that ever abides there,–every soul filled with love; joy beaming from every countenance; the high melodious strains of enchanting music in honor of God and the Lamb; the ceaseless streams of light that flow from the face of him who sitteth upon the throne, and from the Lamb, upon the faces of his saints; and yet higher and greater joy to experience (for the more they receive and exercise the enjoyment of God, the more is their capacity increased to bear more, to rise higher in eternal, immortal enjoyment, and thus continue to receive new and greater supplies from the ceaseless sources of glory and bliss inexpressible);– and could such persons mingle with the heavenly throng, participate in their songs, and endure the high, pure, exalted, spiritual, transporting glory that emanates from God and the Lamb? Oh, no! their probation was lengthened for years that they might learn the language of Heaven, that they might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But they had a selfish business of their own to engage the powers of their minds, and the energies of their beings. They could not afford to serve God unreservedly, and make this a business. Worldly enterprises must come first, and take the best of their powers, and a transient thought is devoted to God. Are such to be transformed after the final decision, He that is holy, let him be holy still, he that is filthy, let him be filthy still? Such a time is coming. p. 88, Para. 3, [17OT].

It stirs my soul to even put these words in type….. I have to pause.

Remember this text.

Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.  1 Thessalonians 5:5

Noah stood at the threshold of, literally, a new (ly) re-made world. He knew that everything left behind would be destroyed. Including people. He plead. He preached. He worked. He successfully saved seven other people.

Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.  1 Peter 3:20
And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;  2 Peter 2:5

James White points out that at that time the preaching of one man condemned the whole world.

What if only eight of the 144,000 remain to go through the time of trouble such as never was, the time of Jacob’s trouble? Is it possible?

You remember that Enoch and Elijah were both translated without seeing death. Both represented the 144,000 in some way. Jonathan also represents the 144,000, and he was cut down, “slain in thine high places.” 2 Samuel

You also remember John the Baptist. Beheaded. As may be indicated by the last three of the six reasons stated in Revelation 20:5.

Something big is afoot. Many things are not revealed, perhaps for our own good.

We are going to take a short look at a portion of the story of Elijah, the part where God sent him to Zarephath.

1 Kings 17:1-24
8  And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
9  Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
10  So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.
11  And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.
12  And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
13  And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.
14  For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.
15  And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
16  And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

Most of us are familiar with this story, on the surface; what is happening in a spiritual understanding?

Elijah asks the widow for some of God’s word, that’s what bread is. She tells him that she has none! All she has is a very small part of the hidden treasure, a handful of meal and a little oil.

She further tells Elijah that what she has will not last out the famine for hearing of God’s word and she and her son will die.

Elijah tells her to not be afraid, give God the glory first, by showing faith in him, by feeding his prophet, by making a sacrifice. And then he gave her a promise, that the small amount of hidden treasure she had would not fail, she nor her son would not die.

The record states, “And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah.” Beautiful faith in God! One, honest in heart, as Rahab, longing for the true God in her life, grasped the promise and acted out obedience, and was rewarded! All the honest in heart will be rescued. PRAISE GOD!!!

Although I was not able to make some connections, I’ll share part of what I found and perhaps you will see some thing I did not, then you can share with me. 😉

Here is a definition of stick.

Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets:
their skin cleaveth to

their bones;
it is withered,
it is become like a stick.
Lamentations 4:8

And about that cruse. A cruse is a vessel used to hold water, honey, oil, and salt.

My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 16:19

So God’s meat, which is his word, is defined as fine flour, oil, & honey. All in perfect harmony with everything else we have studied up to this point. But the text also defines these things as a sweet savour. What is that?

For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ,  2 Corinthians 2:15

How amazing! In plain English!
God’s people are a sweet savour ! Which is fine flour, oil & honey !!!!!!

This is soooo coool! It is perfect harmony with everything else we have learned to date, that John the Baptist is God’s word teaching God’s word, and thus the 144,000!

Now, again, total confirmation!

Wednesday December 5, 2012

The other day…. I was out gathering firewood, as I lifted a large piece of wood, it felt light. As I pondered that, suddenly a chain of thoughts came pouring through.

The wood was lightweight because it was dead.

It was also light because it was dry, it had no water in it.

Christ said, “For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?” Luke 23:31

And I realized that I was learning through nature, just like John the Baptist did.

He subjected himself to privation and solitude in the wilderness where he could preserve by sacred sense of the majesty of God, by studying his great book of nature and there becoming acquainted with the character of God, in his wonderful works. It was an atmosphere calculated to perfect moral culture and keep the fear of the Lord continually before him. John, the forerunner of Christ, did not expose himself to evil conversation and the corrupting influences of the world. He feared its effects upon his conscience, that sin might not appear to him so exceedingly sinful. He chose rather to have his home in the wilderness, where his senses would not be perverted by his surroundings. Should we not learn something from this example of one whom Christ honored and of whom he said, Among those born of women there are none greater than John the Baptist. p. 152, Para. 3, [26OT].

I had read about this and similar years ago, but I just could not understand how it was that one could learn about God’s character through nature, even though I spent a lot of time in nature.

Now it’s become clear. First you must become truly converted, otherwise you will be called a “strange child.” You must be faced with God’s law and understand that you are a sinner and have a great need of redemption. Then you must confess your sins before God and ask for forgiveness. Next is baptism. You have now become a child of God, willing to be instructed by the Holy Ghost in the things of God, the things that are hidden from the seekers, because they want Heaven and the world. You can not have both.

Because you have chosen the strait and narrow way, the exact same way Christ walked while he lived on earth. Right? It’s overcoming as he overcame. But that overcoming process is also a process of being taught of God. In the above passage from No. 26, the phrase “the fear of the Lord” means, the instruction of the Lord.

God created the plan of Salvation. It is his “appointed way.” This is a term used about 12 times in the original, authenticated Spirit of Prophecy. Any one, using any way, other than God’s appointed way, trying to do spiritual things, is outside of God’s plan. This is very dangerous.

The hidden treasure is a major part of God’s appointed way. It is hidden in plain sight. This is God’s plan to prevent those from being in Heaven who should not be happy there. And it works by God reading the hearts of men, and opening to them that it is given, their understanding of dark sayings, parables, the mystery of Godliness, hid from the wicked by being right in front of them, “that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.” Mark 4:12

Belief and faith in God and in his promise to instruct us; an understanding of the hidden treasure, that the Bible was so designed by God to be it’s own dictionary and define it’s own terms without the supposed wisdom of the learned men of the world; a heart and mind that is right before God, not self-deceived nor double-minded, but asking, seeking and knocking after truth with the explicit purpose of being obedient to it; these, I have found, are the keys to being instructed by the Holy Ghost.

So a green tree represents Christ and his followers, a dry tree represents the wicked, they are spiritually dead, they have no living water, hence are “light” and with out weight.

Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 23:32

Time for a review of what we have learned about God’s word.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105

Using this text as our launch pad, mostly because it is so well known, God gives us two definitions for his word. Lamp and light.

Moving from that to other directions, we found a lamp in Genesis 15:17 that was “burning.” Then we discovered that Christ defined John the Baptist as a “burning and a shining light.” Which makes John the Baptist God’s word.

He also was a representative of the 144,000 and this makes them also God’s word. Then we explored some of the texts that clearly show God’s word in his people. The language used is intense. It is pointed and explicit, leaving little room for any mis—understanding.

As an SDA I was taught IMPLICITLY (and I must say, that these words from http://www.thefreedictionary.com/ states my understanding perfectly, “1. Implied or understood though not directly expressed: an implicit agreement not to raise the touchy subject.”), that all things “spirit” were best left to the pastor to handle, otherwise things could easily get out of control and messy. Besides, virtually all who brought up the subject were quickly put down, and it was not usually a soft landing.

My perspective is that this matter of God’s word being his people, acts like a dividing line between believers and nonbelievers. It opens each soul to the truth of their standing before God. The 144,000 are spoken of as being “without fault before the throne of God.” This is God’s word, for it is without fault also.

Coming before God knowing we are sinners, seeing this standard of perfection before us, we shrink inside. How can God possibly propose to do this!? This is unthinkable. Some struggle to create a “respectable” way out. Others, the few, cling to God’s word, knowing it is pure, that “in him is no darkness at all.”

This is God drawing you to himself.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:  John 6:44

The 144,000 are drawn by the Father. Many others are also but something happens.

Bro. —-, you are not as these men, We would not compare you to them; but we would say, Beware of walking in their footsteps, and of having your conversation with covetousness. This desire to obtain means for selfish purposes, by ministers, is a snare to them, which if they continue in, will prove their overthrow. As they get their eyes upon self, their interest in the prosperity of God’s cause, and their love for poor souls, become less and less. They do not lose their love for, and interest in, the truth at once. It is a gradual work. Their departure from the cause of right is gradual and imperceptible, so much so that it is frequently difficult to tell the time when the change in them took place. I think your course highly dangerous. You have not felt the necessity of heeding the light God has given you, and arousing yourself to save your household, and acquiting yourself as a father and priest of your household. You did not deny the light given you. You did not rise up against it. But you neglected to carry it out, because it was not convenient, and agreeable to your feelings, to do this. Therefore you were like Meroz. You came not up to the help of the Lord, although the matter was of such vital consequence as to effect the eternal interests of your children. You neglected your duty. You were in this respect a slothful servant. You have but little sense of how God regards the neglect of parents to discipline their children. Had you reformed here, you would have seen the necessity of the same effort to maintain discipline and order in the church. Your slackness, that has been manifested in your family, has been seen in your labors in the church. You cannot build up the church until you are a transformed man. The neglect of the light that God has given you, has, in a degree, made you captive; subject to Satan’s devices; therefore a door has been left open for him to gain access to you in other directions, and make you a weak man. Satan sees he has made a success of blinding your eyes to the interests of your family, in leading you to neglect the light the Lord has given. Satan has beset you in another direction. He has excited your love of traffic, your love of gain; and by doing this, your interest has been divided from the cause and work of God. The love of God and the truth is gradually becoming of less importance. Souls for whom Christ died are of less value to you than your temporal interests. If you pursue the course you have, you will soon become jealous, and sensitive, and envious, and will go away from the truth as others have gone. p. 74, Para. 1, [20OT].

John the Baptist separated himself, because he was serious about spiritual realities. No one will ever be compelled to be in Heaven or be one of God’s people. All will be there by their own continually free choice.

It is a continually free choice to side with God, to yield to his drawing, to be his word in an evil world. As soon as we make a different choice, the word leaves.

We must keep separate from the world, if we would have the love of God abide with us. As soon as we begin to be conformed to this world, just so soon God’s Spirit begins to depart from us. [R&H, June 10, 1852]

Truth is apparently our only rock to anchor our faith. When reading this, remember that Christ said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” John 14:6

Entering this rest, receiving the refreshing, is the way. Suddenly, so many other texts come clear, into focus for understanding, meditation. Thus the need to take time to pray and meditate. There are at least 120 references to meditating in the authentic Spirit of Prophecy.

More of the same about John the Baptist. The message, like God’s word, doesn’t change.

John the Baptist was a man filled with the Holy Ghost from his birth, and if there was any one who could remain unaffected by the corrupting influences of the age in which he lived, it was surely he. Yet he did not venture to trust his strength; he separated himself from his friends and relatives, that his natural affections might not prove a snare to him. He would not place himself unnecessarily in the way of temptation, nor where the luxuries or even the conveniences of life would lead him to indulge in ease or gratify his appetite, and thus lessen his physical and mental strength. By such a course the important mission he came to fill would have failed in its accomplishment. p. 152, Para. 2, [26OT].
Should we not learn something from this example of one whom Christ honored and of whom he said, Among those born of women there are none greater than John the Baptist. p. 152, Para. 3, [26OT].

God’s word is pure, every word is truth. It’s no wonder then that ….

Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.  John 18:37

Now it becomes much clearer to see how the loud cry could happen within one weeks time. As soon as the cry goes forth, “every one that is of the truth heareth” Christ’s voice in the words of the 144,000. They respond, quickly.

Remember too that this is the last call, “ALL ABOARD!!!” for the heavenly train. This is not an announcement of some new period of probation. God’s spirit has been striving with man for 168 years since October 22, 1844, when the gospel was preached to the whole world, trying to get them to come to the Father, to believe in his word, as spoken by his people, the 144,000.

All the honest in heart will be rescued. Truth will be carried to their very door, placed in their very hand, and they will be a part of the saved. The great question is, will you be a part of those who cherish and grow with the truth?

God Bless your Study
