Today I want to promote again this petition.

Previously I only sent out some emails, but as Brendan Valiant has stated, in the text below (which is from the petition page), that this is something “which will put all questions at rest and provide full transparency.”

The following is the text as it appears on the petition page. It gives a complete explanation of the petition.

“In July, 2015, the Ellen G. White Estate released in a searchable, digital archive, the complete extant manuscripts and letters of Ellen White. These were based off of primary handwritten and typed manuscripts and letters that were produced over the course of Ellen White’s lifetime, up to 1915. This marked a huge step for honesty and transparency in the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the White Estate are to be heartily thanked for providing this access.

“The released database contains some minor editing, including grammatical and spelling additions, but there are some specific places that it does not and cannot adequately reflect the original manuscripts and letters. The handwritten and typed manuscripts and letters also contain in some instances notations by Ellen White indicating corrections to be made when the manuscripts were to be published. Also, some manuscripts or stenographic reports of sermons contain notations to say that Ellen White had read and approved of the contents, while others do not contain such notations. For full transparency to be achieved and all questions to be fully satisfied, it is necessary that researchers have access to the original, scanned copies of all extant handwritten and typed letters and manuscripts so that the database may be verified.

“The White Estate have already released scanned copies of other documents in the White household, both incoming and outgoing (though there are still some outstanding from Willie White’s letterbooks). There is nothing to prevent the release of these items which will put all questions at rest and provide full transparency to God’s people who gain a greater understanding of the Blessed Hope from these writings.

We are only a small number away from having 200 signers. It would be great if we had 2000! If you have not signed, please consider doing so.

Also, it would be nice to read a comment you have left. A different viewpoint, another voice, all combined will increase the perceived desire of the people. Your voice counts!

In spite of what you or I may feel at any time, we have a God who made us, who, with the tender care of a loving parent, watches over us ensuring our safety. He never sleeps. He lives forever. Our hope rests in the things he says.

Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. Isaiah 46:3-4

You want security?, right here it is. We can trust our God. Because he never changes we have true security. We found our hope in what he says because he never changes. Because of this we know that even if we die before he sends his Son the second time, we will live again!

It’s important to keep these things in mind as we go through our day. It’s a part of the armor we can use to keep Satan’s suggestions out of our minds. It keeps our faces shining with heaven’s light, the light of faith, hope, and trust in a living God!
