Context. It seems almost as if everyone is screaming CONTEXT! Yet this is but the lie of Satan and it is harvesting it’s millions.

Many people come and look at this site and can not reconcile the conflicts in the alleged writings of Ellen G. White. With good reason. So they go ask their pastor, which is reasonable, but all too often people are giving up their own decision making ability. And I understand that. It’s difficult to be watching TV and trying to be “religious” all at the same time; I mean it’s distracting.

I came across an interesting truism some time back. I seems to fit here.

What is proven trumps what is claimed, everything else is just commentary.

We are going to take a look at this “in context” argument that so many are shouting about these days. In my opinion it is nothing more than an argument of convenience. Here is why and an example. In Desire of Ages on page 568, ten lines up from the bottom, it declares plainly that “He [Christ] is to-day [meaning every day] standing at the altar of incense….”

This statement is a lie of Satan. I’m going to show you some arguments from another who claims to understand context. Here they are.

I’ve already shown how Christ’s Day of Atonement ministry also involves work in the Holy Place, … Figuratively, Christ still performs all the “Daily” ministry as well, so that He can be portrayed as before the altar of incense if the context is the ministry of Christ in terms of our prayers. … the Day of Atonement ministry involves several movements from Courtyard to Most Holy Place … Jesus is truly standing in front of the altar of incense every time He performs the ministry over prayer.

In considering the various arguments it is important to understand where the professed believer stands in his understanding of inspiration. So many people in and out of the church believe that Ellen was the author of everything with her name on it. But as we show on this site, it is not so.

Back to the argument, look at this man’s understanding. This is the most ridiculous argument for an SDA to make, it almost trumps Vance Ferrell’s on the same point. Here are his words. Notice how he leads off on the context, again.

The context is speaking about Christ’s great love and care for His erring earthly children. Ellen is so filled with feeling that she waxes eloquent with powerful symbolic language to illustrate her meaning: “pour out the vials of His wrath,” “wipe this dark spot,” “standing at the altar of incense,” turn to Him for refuge,” “strife of tongues,” “impeach these souls.” Notice the final sentence: They stand beside their Sin Bearer, “in the light proceeding from the throne of God.” That light is not now in the first apartment, which is blocked by a veil from God’s glory in the second. So, by faith, they are standing by Him in the second, not the first, apartment. The Teachings of Vern Bates, by Vance Ferrell, about 2007.

Notice the hoops these people have to jump through to attempt to explain away a direct lie. This is the stuff of the counterfeit SOP. How many times have you heard people talk about the deceptions of Satan, that they are truth mixed with a little error, or a lot, if you like.

By the use of the argument of convenience, context, people can claim what they please, all they have to do is enlarge the context to include what they need.

If they want context, then let’s meet them with context! But, we will take the same privilege they claim, we will set the bounds of context for our own arguments. Why limit context to just a few lines in one book? after all, this is really all about the Great Controversy between Christ and his angels and Satan and his angels.

Therefore the real context is all about this six thousand year old Great Controversy. In this real true context we can see much more clearly in the light of day. We can get the scope of the whole context. So lets see what God has to say that bears on the subject.

God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Deuteronomy 8:3

Every word of God is pure: Proverbs 30:5

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: Deuteronomy 32:4

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: 2 Samuel 22:31

your Father which is in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48

Now, looking at these matters in the really true context of the Great Controversy, we find that God is perfect, does a perfect work, and every word of his is perfect.

It’s not just the sentence, it’s not just the phrase, oh no, it’s every word. When you have a prefect God, putting perfect words together, you get a perfect work, which is exactly what the Bible declares, and is.

The authentic Spirit of Prophecy is exactly the same, for God himself is the true author, not Ellen. She was not intelligent enough to have produced the highly sophisticated works of the Spirit of Prophecy. The perfect harmony between it and the Bible is testimony to God’s authorship.

How many places in the Bible are we required to jump through the hoops that the counterfeit SOP requires? None!

The really true context, that of the Great Controversy between Christ and his angels and Satan and his angels, is that from which we will work.

Another something came across my desk the other day.

(I once asked my mom why it was that she used the phrase “the other day” when it was weeks ago that something happened. She told me, “Son, it’s just a phrase, it doesn’t mean a specific time or day.” Then I understood. It’s called education.)

This time it comes from D. S. Farris. He wrote something titled PROPHETIC TOOL CHEST. I know nothing of the man and it is entirely possible that he is using a pen name. Nevertheless, I have my suspicions about the true purpose of his presence.

The reason for my suspicions is because of some of his comments in this work. In the last chapter, twelve, page 8, second paragraph, he makes the case for the sixth trumpet ending in 1844.

This is wholly wrong. We have plenty of evidence written by the true pioneers of exactly when the sixth trumpet ended. August 11, 1840. So this man has got himself a private interpretation of prophecy.

In the same chapter, page 24, the bottom paragraph, we find him now with the whole rest of Adventism, claiming that perfection is not available to man. Here are his exact words.

The issue is not whether or not we become perfect; the issue is our attitude about sin.

This is also wholly wrong. It is the lie of Satan. This is a part of the strong delusion that sweeps millions into the fires of hell. The reliance on the counterfeit SOP will kill your chance of Heaven. It is full of the lies of Satan. It teaches people the arts of vacillation and talking with forked tongue, commonly known as “out of both sides of the mouth.”

This lifetime is mans second chance. This lifetime is my opportunity to perfect a character fit to be blessed with eternal life. If I fail in this before my death, I will not be given eternal life. Perfection of character is paramount! It can only be accomplished in the strength of God. I must abide in the vine, drawing life from that vine just as a graft grows. Yet I must also resist the devil even to the point of death, just as the three Hebrews did before the furnace.

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. Genesis 6:9

Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God. Deuteronomy 18:13

Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day. 1 Kings 8:61

But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa’s heart was perfect with the LORD all his days. 1 Kings 15:14

Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy. 1 Chronicles 29:9

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. Job 1:1

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 1 Corinthians 10:11

Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Matthew 19:21

We are admonished to be perfect—because it is where we must be to be saved. Now after all that, let’s not forget the righteousness of Christ, correctly stated here.

Sabbah June 29, 2013

I fell to thinking about the seven day trip to Heaven this morning.

Why seven days? What will we be doing during that time?

This might possibly be a partial answer. Think about this. We will all have just been rescued! This resurrection event is the grand culmination of the Gospel dispensation. All the saints will have a true conscious understanding of going into the prisonhouse of death, either at the hands of the wicked through martyrdom or natural causes; now suddenly! set free!!! rescued!!!

In an instant from those pangs of death or the threat thereof for the 144,000, to the glow of immortality and a rising from the earth to meet Christ in the air!!! I believe there will be great expressions of thanks to God as faith has become sight!!!

We actually have a biblical precedent for this. Remember when the three were thrown into the fiery furnace? the flames so hot they slew those strong men who threw them in, shooting seventy five feet into the air!

Those three chose death at the hands of the wicked. In their own minds they were martyred. Yet instead of heat they experienced “a moist whistling wind” as they passed into the furnace. Then in the Apocrypha we have the story. I believe this story will be lived out again at Christ’s second coming, a thousand times a thousand and thousands of thousands! as the rescued saints realize the substance of their faith.

I am going to put that story here, in it’s entirety, for your convenience. I pray that this Sabbath day you will see these things with the eye of faith, enter into the PRAISE OF GOD!!! by faith as he rescues all the saints the final time! Ponder your own reaction as you personally realize this deliverance from the jaws of death! Will you not be as grateful as the three in the furnace? I think so. Ponder as you read this Sabbath day of that future’s day of joy unspeakable!!!

The Song of the three holy children, which followeth in the third Chapter of Daniel after this place, [And they walked in the midst of the fire, praising God, and blessing the Lord.] That which followeth is not in the Hebrew; to wit, [Then Azarias stood up] unto these words, [And Nabuchodonosor.]

1:1 Then Azarias stood up, and prayed on this manner; and opening his mouth in the midst of the fire said,
1:2 Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our fathers: thy name is worthy to be praised and glorified for evermore:
1:3 For thou art righteous in all the things that thou hast done to us: yea, true are all thy works, thy ways are right, and all thy judgments truth.
1:4 In all the things that thou hast brought upon us, and upon the holy city of our fathers, even Jerusalem, thou hast executed true judgment: for according to truth and judgment didst thou bring all these things upon us because of our sins.
1:5 For we have sinned and committed iniquity, departing from thee.
1:6 In all things have we trespassed, and not obeyed thy commandments, nor kept them, neither done as thou hast commanded us, that it might go well with us.
1:7 Wherefore all that thou hast brought upon us, and every thing that thou hast done to us, thou hast done in true judgment.
1:8 And thou didst deliver us into the hands of lawless enemies, most hateful forsakers of God, and to an unjust king, and the most wicked in all the world.
1:9 And now we cannot open our mouths, we are become a shame and reproach to thy servants; and to them that worship thee.
1:10 Yet deliver us not up wholly, for thy name’s sake, neither disannul thou thy covenant:
1:11 And cause not thy mercy to depart from us, for thy beloved Abraham’s sake, for thy servant Issac’s sake, and for thy holy Israel’s sake;
1:12 To whom thou hast spoken and promised, that thou wouldest multiply their seed as the stars of heaven, and as the sand that lieth upon the seashore.
1:13 For we, O Lord, are become less than any nation, and be kept under this day in all the world because of our sins.
1:14 Neither is there at this time prince, or prophet, or leader, or burnt offering, or sacrifice, or oblation, or incense, or place to sacrifice before thee, and to find mercy.
1:15 Nevertheless in a contrite heart and an humble spirit let us be accepted.
1:16 Like as in the burnt offerings of rams and bullocks, and like as in ten thousands of fat lambs: so let our sacrifice be in thy sight this day, and grant that we may wholly go after thee: for they shall not be confounded that put their trust in thee.
1:17 And now we follow thee with all our heart, we fear thee, and seek thy face.
1:18 Put us not to shame: but deal with us after thy lovingkindness, and according to the multitude of thy mercies.
1:19 Deliver us also according to thy marvellous works, and give glory to thy name, O Lord: and let all them that do thy servants hurt be ashamed;
1:20 And let them be confounded in all their power and might, and let their strength be broken;
1:21 And let them know that thou art God, the only God, and glorious over the whole world.
1:22 And the king’s servants, that put them in, ceased not to make the oven hot with rosin, pitch, tow, and small wood;
1:23 So that the flame streamed forth above the furnace forty and nine cubits.
1:24 And it passed through, and burned those Chaldeans it found about the furnace.
1:25 But the angel of the Lord came down into the oven together with Azarias and his fellows, and smote the flame of the fire out of the oven;
1:26 And made the midst of the furnace as it had been a moist whistling wind, so that the fire touched them not at all, neither hurt nor troubled them.
1:27 Then the three, as out of one mouth, praised, glorified, and blessed, God in the furnace, saying,
1:28 Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our fathers: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.
1:29 And blessed is thy glorious and holy name: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.
1:30 Blessed art thou in the temple of thine holy glory: and to be praised and glorified above all for ever.
1:31 Blessed art thou that beholdest the depths, and sittest upon the cherubims: and to be praised and exalted above all for ever.
1:32 Blessed art thou on the glorious throne of thy kingdom: and to be praised and glorified above all for ever.
1:33 Blessed art thou in the firmament of heaven: and above all to be praised and glorified for ever.
1:34 O all ye works of the Lord, bless ye the Lord : praise and exalt him above all for ever,
1:35 O ye heavens, bless ye the Lord : praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:36 O ye angels of the Lord, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:37 O all ye waters that be above the heaven, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

1:43 O ye fire and heat, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:44 O ye winter and summer, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:45 0 ye dews and storms of snow, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

1:49 O ye frost and snow, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.

1:52 O ye mountains and little hills, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:53 O all ye things that grow in the earth, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:54 O ye mountains, bless ye the Lord: Praise and exalt him above all for ever.

1:62 O ye servants of the Lord, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:63 O ye spirits and souls of the righteous, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:64 O ye holy and humble men of heart, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever.
1:65 O Ananias, Azarias, and Misael, bless ye the Lord: praise and exalt him above all for ever: far he hath delivered us from hell, and saved us from the hand of death, and delivered us out of the midst of the furnace and burning flame: even out of the midst of the fire hath he delivered us.
1:66 O give thanks unto the Lord, because he is gracious: for his mercy endureth for ever.
1:67 O all ye that worship the Lord, bless the God of gods, praise him, and give him thanks: for his mercy endureth for ever.

I will make a further comment at this point. Because of the similarities of the above to the Catholic mass I have to believe the mass to be Satan’s counterfeit of real praise to God. We have some shades of understanding on this point found in Christian Experience and Views, page 36, wherein we are instructed by God, “‘Continual repetition,’ said the Angel, ‘yet God is glorified by it.’” It appears that we have some things to learn about true praise to the Father.

It’s time to clear the air on a couple of points.

First up, are Catholics Christians? Answer: No.

Second, are SDAs Christians? Answer: No.

Third, are any of the Protestants Christians? Answer: No.

Then who is?

That’s a fair question. It deserves a straight true answer. Right here is the great departure point. People have forgotten what a Christian really is. More likely they never learned. Like a great many other matters of life, the Jesuit based educational system that most were educated in has been purposely sculpted to prevent or inhibit the learning of essential truth.

Enter the dictionary. First we have an entry from a 1828 Webster dictionary.

CHRISTIAN, n. 1. A believer in the religion of Christ. 2. A professor of his belief in the religion of Christ. 3. A real disciple of Christ; one who believes in the truth of the Christian religion, and studies to follow the example, and obey the precepts, of Christ; a believer in Christ who is characterized by real piety. 4. In a general sense, the word Christians includes all who are born in a Christian country or of Christian parents.

CHRISTIAN, a. [See the Noun.] 1. Pertaining to Christ, taught by him, or received from him; as the Christian religion; Christian doctrines. 2. Professing the religion of Christ; as a Christian friend. 3. Belonging to the religion of Christ; relating to Christ, or to his doctrines, precepts and example; as christian profession and practice. 4. Pertaining to the church; ecclesiastical; as courts Christian.

CHISTIANITY, n. [See Christian, from Christ.] The religion of Christians; or the system of doctrines and precepts taught by Christ, and recorded by the evangelists and apostles. Whilst politicians are disputing about monarchies, aristocracies, and republics, Christianity is alike applicable, useful and friendly to them all.

Now we will compare Webster to Dictionary.com, a certainly up to date understanding.

Christian adjective 1. of, pertaining to, or derived from Jesus Christ or His teachings: a Christian faith. 2. of, pertaining to, believing in, or belonging to the religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ: Spain is a Christian country. 3. of or pertaining to Christians: many Christian deaths in the Crusades. 4. exhibiting a spirit proper to a follower of Jesus Christ; Christlike: She displayed true Christian charity. 5. decent; respectable: They gave him a good Christian burial. 6. human; not brutal; humane: Such behavior isn’t Christian.
noun 7. a person who believes in Jesus Christ; adherent of Christianity. 8. a person who exemplifies in his or her life the teachings of Christ: He died like a true Christian. 9. a member of any of certain Protestant churches, as the Disciples of Christ and the Plymouth Brethren. 10. the hero of Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress. 11. a male given name.

Christianity 1. the Christian religion, including the Catholic, Protestant, and Eastern Orthodox churches. 2. Christian beliefs or practices; Christian quality or character: Christianity mixed with pagan elements; the Christianity of Augustine’s thought. 3. a particular Christian religious system: She followed fundamentalist Christianity. 4. the state of being a Christian. 5. Christendom. 6. conformity to the Christian religion or to its beliefs or practices.

Now that we have the evidence on the table we have a foundation from which to argue the point. It’s not as cut and dried as you might like.

First off, remember that the Catholics have a clear agenda, something we only touch on at this point, but the main focal point of the Jesuit order is to counter the Christian educational reformation of the great Reformation. They have been attacking Christianity in a very subtle manner by re-defining words, one at a time.

Lest you think this is all bunk, I suggest you follow this link and read the story. It is couched in current events but the  exact same point is being made in another field; that of re-defining what a word means.

Today it is accepted practice to call Catholics Christians, even as so defined in the last paragraph above, yet they do not follow the teachings of Christ in the least. In fact, real Christians understand that the Pope is the “man of sin.” Catholics fail the test of being Christians.

The various Protestant sects also are not true Christians as they are not following Christ’s teachings either. As a general rule they have been drinking the wine (doctrine) of the Catholic church, which is why they worship on the day the Catholics have created to take the place of the Sabbath, the seventh day, which God very clearly commanded man to keep as sacred.

Which brings us to the General Conference Seventh-Day Adventist corporation, masquerading as a church. Of all organizations on the planet this one has the highest claims; hence their great guilt before God and the universe. The lists of their apostasy are long—and detailed. Their claims are very great, even claiming that the church will go through to Heaven.

Christ died for mankind not a corporation.

Their departure from the plainest teachings of Christ are so systemic in Adventism that they can never be cured. They are shrouded in the blackest night yet thinking and believing they are rich in spiritual discernment; while they watch TV and engage in every activity, any activity except preparing for Heaven.

Even if Christ does not come for another 168 years, I only have about 30 more to prepare, if I live out a ‘normal’ life. Our time in the land of the living is short.

We are not talking case by case here, we are dealing in the big picture. All the three groups mentioned are going to be outside the gates of Heaven and will die an eternal death. I must separate from such and turn to God and follow Christ, not man. God so loved us that he gave Jesus to come and show us the way; he bids us follow him, his teachings, his steps, his ministration in the temple in Heaven.

As for me, I will follow.

Another one. This one from the Review and Herald, October 31, 1899.

When it comes to believing and what to believe, all must do their own homework, all must prove all things. When I or anyone tells you that something is truth, it is your responsibility before God to prove that truth.

We must be careful what we believe. I have found far too many wide differences between what I was taught as a church member and what I have discovered by reading the early publications of the Advent people. This is another one of such.

The bride is the church who is waiting for the second appearing of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. R&H, 10/31/1899, para 7.

I was always taught this was the true understanding. But the pioneers had the truth and it is, to my knowledge, first written out in The Advent Review, November 1850, No. 5, beginning on the third page from the last. This particular portion is not signed and we have not found a definitive copy alluding to the author. Nevertheless, we assume it must have been authored by one of the publishing committee members. An excerpt follows.

All have been indoctrinated into the idea that the church is the Bride. … It is one of those fruits of spiritualizing the sacred Oracles, which have so fatally corrupted the streams of truth. … [over to the next page] and consequently the beautiful relation existing between the three, Christ being the Husband, the City the Wife, the saints the children.

You can click on this link here to read the whole article yourself and prove it. But we once again have the counterfeit SOP at odds with the faith of the Advent people. And it always happens after the death of James. It’s because someone else was at the helm….

Want to see the kind of harmony in the counterfeit SOP? Well, this is a good example. Be sure and read closely, I wouldn’t want you miss the context or something.

Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth. [Zechariah 4:11-14]
The anointed ones standing by the Lord of the whole earth, have the position once given to Satan as covering cherub. Review & Herald, July 20, 1897

In July of 1897 the replacement of Satan is two (2), represented in Zechariah as two olive branches. Now we will go to a favorite book of many, Desire of Ages.

“And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven.” Clothed with the panoply of God, this angel left the heavenly courts. The bright beams of God’s glory went before him, and illuminated his pathway. “His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: and for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.” p. 779, Para. 2, [DA].

Now, priests and rulers, where is the power of your guard? Brave soldiers that have never been afraid of human power are now as captives taken without sword or spear. The face they look upon is not the face of mortal warrior; it is the face of the mightiest of the Lord’s host. This messenger is he who fills the position from which Satan fell. p. 779, Para. 2, [DA].

One year later Ellen must have gotten new light, because now it’s only one, not two, that have taken Satan’s place. But, I am very sure that those who are still in that ship will be able to ask their pastor about all this. If he can not explain it, he will pass the question on to someone else who has a phd and that one will be able come up with a satisfactory answer. I’m sure of it.

This is the kind of harmony found in the counterfeit SOP. Here is a great explanation of it.

I was shown like this. The truth once got out now, will stand; for it is the truth for the last days, and it will live, and less need to be said upon the truth after it is out. Numberless words need not be put upon paper to justify what speaks for itself, and shines in its clearness. But it is not so with error. It is so winding and twisting that it needs a multitude of words to explain it in its crooked form. But truth is straight, plain, clear, and stands out boldly in its own defense. The cause of truth should not be hindered in its onward progress for want of means. p. 14, Para. 2, [SUPCEV].

And THAT is why we only study the authentic Spirit of Prophecy.

Tuesday June 25, 2013

Another item has come to my attention. It too is found in a Review and Herald article.

The dispensation in which we are now living is to be, to those that ask, the dispensation of the Holy Spirit. R&H, March 2, 1897

Speaking in direct opposition to Crosiers article in The Day-Star Extra, Satan is here attempting to nudge people off the path. Here is an excerpt from his article.

What is the mystery to be finished? “The mystery of the gospel,” Eph. 6 : 19. “The mystery which was kept secret since the world began, but is now made manifest.” The riches of the glory of this mystery is Christ in you, the hope of glory, Col. 1:27. “The mystery of Christ, which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the spirit; that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel” Eph. 2:4-6. It is the dispensation of the grace of God; ver. 2. These texts show that the mystery of God or Christ is the Gos. Dis. It is the period of hope and heirship. While we hope we pray for the object of hope, and that is glory — as exhibited on the Holy Mount, immortality, the Kingdom and society of Jesus. Until these are obtained we hope; and while we hope the mystery is not finished.- Again, we are heirs during the mystery of God, and when that is finished, we shall become inheritors. We must therefore conclude that the mystery of God will end with the mysterious change from mortal to immortality; 1 Cor. 15: 51-54. Then, as the Dispensation of the fullness of times begins with the 7th trumpet, and the Gos. Dis. reaches to the resurrection, it is manifest that the Dis. of the fullness of times, begins before the Gos. Dis, ends.- There is a short period of overlapping or running together of the two Dispensations, in which the peculiarities of both mingle like the twilight, minglings of light and darkness. p. 44, Para. 1, [LAW].

Before jumping to the conclusion that grace means the same thing as Holy Spirit, please understand something. Mankind is always getting into trouble by saying things in a different way than the Bible or Spirit of Prophecy states them. Here we limit ourselves to the same words we are given by God.

Crosier only lists two dispensations. The short period of overlap he mentions is now 168 years in length. Not much when compared to the six thousand years of the great controversy between Christ and Satan.

Monday June 24, 2013

I am sitting here reviewing some things and paused to look up something in the Review and Heralds after James’ death, August 6, 1881. My eye fell on the following item which we may have touched on in the past, but it bears repeating.

My mind was carried to the future, when the signal will be given, “Behold the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.” R&H, 2/11/1896

Certain points of our faith should be so secured in our minds that nothing can shake them. This is one of those points. When Christ comes the second time, he does not come as the Bridegroom, he comes as King of kings.

Then commenced the jubilee, when the land should rest. I saw the pious slave rise in triumph and victory, and shake off the chains that bound him, while his wicked master was in confusion, and knew not what to do; for the wicked could not understand the words of the voice of God. Soon appeared the great white cloud. On it sat the Son of man. p. 206, Para. 1, [1SG ].

This cloud when it first appeared in the distance, looked very small. The angel said that it was the sign of the Son of man. And as the cloud approached nearer to the earth, we could behold the excellent glory and majesty of Jesus as he rode forth to conquer. A holy retinue of angels, with their bright, glittering crowns upon their heads, escorted him on his way. No language can describe the glory of the scene. The living cloud of majesty, and unsurpassed glory, came still nearer, and we could clearly behold the lovely person of Jesus. He did not wear a crown of thorns; but a crown of glory decked his holy brow. Upon his vesture and thigh was a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. His eyes were as a flame of fire, his feet had the appearance of fine brass, and his voice sounded like many musical instruments. His countenance was as bright as the noonday sun. The earth trembled before him, and the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains. And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: for the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? p. 206, Para. 2, [1SG ].

The Advent believers were correct in their proclamation “Behold the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.” It was then that the parable of the ten virgins of Matthew 25 met it’s complete fulfillment. The sentiments of the counterfeit book Christ’s Object Lessons notwithstanding.

This is a part of that pure light of the Midnight Cry that gives light for our feet that we might not stumble as we walk that strait and narrow way to the City. Holding to the present truth the true pioneers had will keep us on that path.

All these cries about advancing light is the bable of the drunkards of Babylon’s wine. Those in the SDA church have been drinking the wine of Babylon and now promote that wine to their members. They claim there were errors in the pioneers faith. Wrong! The real errors are the lies of Satan disguised as sweet wine from Babylon’s table.

God has given us all we need to be saved. Eat and drink of his bread and his water and you will be safe, saved at last.

Remember, only eight (8) were saved from the flood.

The Desire of Ages is a counterfeited book. It is full of errors. This is a list of articles from our articles page that deal with the DA. There is one that does not; No. 19, as it deals with a change made in 1979.
I make a rather derogatory comment that they must have “channeled” Ellen to get her to sanction the change.
The last two articles are new to that page, but not new to our regular readers.

2.) Major Errors in the Counterfeit SOP . . . . . Click Here for the Article
This is the article with the quotes of Major Errors for you to share with your unbelieving SDA friends. You will be shocked at what has been published. This is about Christ supposed to touch the mountain top. Both in DA and GC.

3.) Christ at the Altar of Incense?! . . . . . Click Here for the Article

Now available, information where at least 10 times material was published trying to take Christ out of the Most Holy place and put him into the Holy. You can read it for yourself. So, it’s not just the DA! it’s all over the counterfeit.

12.) Desire of Ages – Counterfeited? . . . . . Click Here for the Article
Further proof of problems with the book “Desire of Ages. This is  about the man being healed on the Sabbath. It shows the lie of Satan, very good to prove the changes were really the work of Satan.
The article is in .pdf here.

19.) SDA church STILL changing SOP in 1979!!! . . . . . Click Here for the ArticlePerhaps they had someone “channel” Ellen so she could put her approval on these changes?! I mean, it has her name on it; no one else signed these words.

This makes a laughing stock out of those who claim “God would NEVER allow her writings to be changed!!”

Just like there are counterfeit Bibles, there IS a counterfeit SOP.

This article is not about the DA. But it’s proof that they change the SOP at will.

20.) DA p.830 CpW Authentic Vol.3 SOP . . . . . Click Here for the Article

This paper is a computer comparison between the Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 3, Chapter XIX and the Desire of Ages, Chapter 87, To My Father. This comparison proves that the authentic was changed, thus creating a counterfeit. This is not an improvement of light. This is the lies of Satan exposed. God is not going to change, ever!

The true living God, the Creator of this world and all mankind, will never change. He is our Rock, “with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” You want an anchor for your faith? Right here it is, The Lord God Almighty!

This is the big one on Christ touching the earth at the second coming. Also check out the second sentence. It is just as bad, I never noticed before….

Sabbath June 22, 2013

It seems that God is constantly impressing Rahab’s story upon me. And it is an impressive one. Here we have an individual that has grown up to adulthood in a totally heathen environment, yet being taught of God and impressive to that teaching! So much so that God proved his great love for mankind in that he showed publicly his incredible desire, willingness and action (right? you got to have action or your words are just so much air!) in going to great lengths to secure her to himself.

Now this idea about God teaching her has got me captivated. Something was right in her heart. Something right, to the point that she was receptive to the faint light she had. Something caused her to think on that light and desire more of it.

We know that it is the Father that draws us to Christ.

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: John 6:44

Going back forty years, we remember that the children of Israel came up to the promised land, failed and had to go back into the wilderness to die, everyone from twenty years old and upward.

Now look inside Jericho. A major event just happened and tabs are kept on those Israelites out there lurking in the wilderness. And the stories are told and retold. Then Rahab show up. Whatever that “something” inside of her is, it is responding, absorbing, learning, being attracted by the Father.

Now it’s showtime. Now is revealed the work of God in the life of the prostitute that lives just down the street.

And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you. For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed. And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath. Joshua 2:9-11

Amazing watching the hand of God!!! As they say, “The rest is history.” Rahab’s name shows up eleven times in the Bible. She must have been kinda young, she became the mother of Boaz, who was the father of Obed, who was the father of Jesse.

An impressive lineup, especially so since it was forbidden for any Jew to marry a prostitute….

God’s ways are not what I think they are. His ways are not what you think they are. It seems our only safety in following Christ is to ensure that we are doing his will. Which we will only know by earnest effort on our part.

It’s that ASK acronym.
Ask, and you will get an answer; remember Mark 4:10-11
Seek, and you will find.
Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
(I wonder what “it” is? I’ll have to check that out…)
