Here is some excellent material on working in harmony with the angels!

How sad that I spent many years in GCSDA church schools and this subject was never taught.

“Angels work harmoniously. Perfect order characterizes all their movements. p. 25, Para. 2, [14OT].

The more closely we imitate the harmony and order of the angelic host, the more successful will be the efforts of these heavenly agents in our behalf. If we see no necessity of harmonious action, and are disorderly, undisciplined and disorganized in our course of action, angels who are thoroughly organized, and move in perfect order, cannot work for us successfully. They turn away in grief for they are not authorized to bless confusion, distraction and disorganization. p. 25, Para. 3, [14OT].

All who desire the co-operation of the heavenly messengers, must work in unison with them to the same end. If they have the unction from on high, their efforts will be to encourage order, discipline and union of action. Then can the angels of God co-operate with them. But never, never will these heavenly messengers place their endorsement upon irregularity, disorganization and disorder. All these evils are the result of the work of Satan to weaken our forces, and destroy courage, and successful action. p. 26, Para. 1, [14OT].

Satan well knows that success can only attend order and harmonious action. He well knows that every thing connected with Heaven is in perfect order. Subjection and thorough discipline mark the movements of the angelic host. Satan’s studied efforts are to lead professed Christians just as far from Heaven’s arrangement as he can. Therefore he deceives even the professed people of God, and makes them believe that order and discipline are enemies to the spirituality of God’s people; that the only safety for them is to each pursue his or her own course, and to remain especially distinct from bodies of Christians who are united, and are laboring to establish discipline and harmony of action. All the efforts made to establish order are considered dangerous, and are feared as popery, a restriction of right and liberty.” p. 26, Para. 2, [14OT].

I had always wondered about the extent of the terms, Brother and Sister. Now in reading No. 14 we have at least part of the answer.

“…when I learned, with pain, that, in order to make the institution popular with those not of our faith, and to secure their patronage, a spirit of compromise was rapidly gaining ground at the institute, which, in order to meet the unbelief of unbelievers, was manifested in the adoption of the use of Mr., Miss, and Mrs., instead of Bro. and Sister, …” p. 6, Para. 2, [14OT].

Happy Sabbath and God Bless your study.

When I study I keep foremost in mind the material I have read and studied dated prior to 1881, or prior to James White’s death. This is because after his death others took control of the material coming from EGW and changed the meaning, or many times, changed the thoughts, to build a snare under the direction, or inspiration, of Satan.

Just a reminder.

Here is another writing, alleged to have been written at the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, by the hand of Ellen G White. This is blasphemy — attributing the work of Satan to God.

God is without a shadow of turning and changeth not nor altereth the thing that is gone out of his mouth. Wicked men under the inspiration of the great deceiver counterfeited these writings and proffered them to the people as real. God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.

“He [Satan] cannot expel God from his throne, but through the system of idolatry, he plants his own throne between heaven and the earth, between God and the human worshiper. He [Satan] intercepts every ray of light that comes from God to man, and appropriates the worship that is due to God.”

R&H October 22, 1895, bk 3, p. 301

In this statement it is declared that Satan has more power than God. Satan can not intercept every ray of light from God. Not through idolatry, not through any other means.

Here is a ray of light for you.

“The angels of GOD were doing the work committed to their trust. They were searching in the darkest places, and were selecting out of the darkness, men who were honest at heart. They were all buried up in error, yet GOD selected them as he did Saul, as chosen vessels to bear his truth, and raise their voices against the sins of his professed people.” 58GC p. 120

“I saw that GOD had honest children among the nominal Adventists, and the fallen churches, and ministers and people will yet be called out from these churches, before the plagues shall be poured out, and they will gladly embrace the truth.” 58GC, p. 172

Here is what the bible says.
Matthew 28:18 All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Christ has more power than Satan.

Here is an interesting quote. Apparently Fuller was a member, and perhaps a minister. In any case, the point is most of the paragraph is for context, the last line says that the SDA church will be left and the honest will come out of her.

“The case of N. Fuller has caused me much grief and anguish of spirit. That he should yield himself to the control of Satan to work wickedness as he has done, is terrible. I believe that God designed this case of hypocrisy and villainy should be brought to light in the manner it has been, to prove a warning to others. Here is a man acquainted with the Bible teachings. He has listened to testimonies that I have borne in his presence against the very sins he has been practicing. He has heard me speak, more than once, decidedly in regard to the prevailing sins of this generation, that corruption was teeming everywhere, that base passions controlled men and women generally; that among the masses crimes of the darkest dye were continually practiced, and they were reeking in their own corruption. The nominal churches are filled with these sins of fornication and adultery, crime and murder, the result of base, lustful passion, but these things are kept covered. Ministers, in high places, are guilty, yet a lack of godliness covers their dark deeds, and they pass on from year to year in their course of hypocrisy. Their sins have reached unto Heaven, and the honest in heart will be brought to the light, and come out of her.” p. 139, Para. 2, [18OT].

There is a portion of 1T, pages 190-195, that has been added to what should be No. 5, which has been found in 2SG pages 230-238, titled, “Systematic Benevolence.”

The complexity of the counterfeit is, at this day, almost beyond comprehension. Satan has done a huge “number” on many. Especially is this true of those who have refused to receive a love of the truth, and therefore they have received a lie, and are blinded to the truth.

Here we have a quote from the Review of August 16, 1898. Please notice that this is after the date of James White’s death and “under the thumb” of W. C. White.

“In the sacrifice of Christ for our world, his mediation is made visible. This is the evidence of things unseen, and makes faith the gift of God. “For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; . . . having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”  {RH, August 16, 1898 par. 5}

Only the sacrifice portion of Christ’s work, in the plan of salvation, is visible to us. That is the reason for the coverings of the tabernacle. We are to accept the work of our high priest, by faith.

Sabbath September 19, 2009 5:22 PM

Greetings to all, may your Sabbath be blessed.

First off I am going to give you a choice. Which will it be? That is the question of the hour. Was Ellen C. White inspired or not? Is God changeable or not? Which will it be? You be the judge. You decide.

Come now and let us reason; here we have two different quotes. Both have EGW’s name attached. Both have been under the control and protection of the White Estate, now, for many years. Both come from very respected sources. One from the “Review and Herald,” the other from the much lauded book “Education.”
Which will it be?
You decide.

Here is the first quote, from the Review and Herald.

“It certainly must bring God’s displeasure upon parents when they leave him to do what he has left and commanded them to do. God corrects us when we disobey, and go astray from him; and parents are bound by the word of God to correct their children when they disobey them, and show evil tempers. Check the very first manifestation of passion. Break the will (but do it with feelings of tenderness, and with discretion), and your children will be far happier for it, and you will be happier. Your effort will be remembered of God, and he that is so particular as to observe the falling of the sparrow; he that noted and commended Abraham’s faithfulness, will not pass by your efforts. He that never slumbers nor sleeps will be ready to aid you with his Spirit and grace, and will reward your feeble efforts.”  {RH, October 14, 1875 par. 7}

Here is the second quote, found in the book “Education.”

“ To direct the child’s development without hindering it by undue control should be the study of both parent and teacher. Too much management is as bad as too little. The effort to “break the will” of a child is a terrible mistake. Minds are constituted differently; while force may secure outward submission, the result with many children is a more determined rebellion of the heart. Even should the parent or teacher succeed in gaining the control he seeks, the outcome may be no less harmful to the child. The discipline of a human being who has reached the years of intelligence should differ from the training of a dumb animal. The beast is taught only submission to its master. For the beast, the master is mind, judgment, and will. This method, sometimes employed in the training of children, makes them little more than automatons. Mind, will, conscience, are under the control of another. It is not God’s purpose that any mind should be thus dominated. Those who weaken or destroy individuality assume a responsibility that can result only in evil. While under authority, the children may appear like well-drilled soldiers; but when the control ceases, the character will be found to lack strength and steadfastness. Having never learned to govern himself, the youth recognizes no restraint except the requirement of parents or teacher. This removed, he knows not how to use his liberty, and often gives himself up to indulgence that proves his ruin.  {Ed 288.1}
Since the surrender of the will is so much more difficult for some pupils than for others, the teacher should make obedience to his requirements as easy as possible.
The will should be guided and molded, but not ignored or crushed. Save the strength of the will; in the battle of life it will be needed.  {Ed 288.2}

Which will it be?

Here, perhaps, we have uncovered and exposed, the supposed fact, that EGW was a fake.

Let me tell you what I believe.

I believe that Ellen G. White was in fact a faithful prophet of God. I believe that she wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and as such, had no control over the content of what she wrote, even though she may have thought she did.

Take, for example, a portion of our reading today in No. 14, page 74. In speaking of a 16 page tract on dress reform, she declares, “It is not a book of visions. It is my views of the matter adapted to the condition of the public mind.”

It is my understanding that she is here in the same position as Paul when writing to the Corinthians in chapter 7, of the first book, and verse 6, “But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.” Whither famous or infamous, depending on your viewpoint, Paul seems to be saying that he is speaking out of inspiration. Just as Ellen seems to be saying the same in our example above.

I believe the Bible.

In Isaiah 26:12, “… for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.”
Acts 17:28, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being.”
Philippians 2:13, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
2 Timothy 3:16, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…”

I take the phrase, “not a book of visions.” to mean that she is not writing out a vision she had on the subject.

I believe Ellen wrote for the church messages from God, having no control of the content, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

That’s what it is for me.

Which will it be for you?

Sabbath 7:41 PM

There is an interesting comment in the “Advent Review Extra” on page 3, right side, just above center.

“But Caleb and Joshua, who wholly followed the Lord, were the example of the Philadelphia Church, which follow the Lamb withersoever he goeth.”

I find this very interesting.

September 12, 2009 6:38 PM

I thought to help your understanding of how I “do church.” We are to fellowship. The following is an email I sent to an inquiry about this matter.

Also I would encourage you to start your own web page. It is really not that hard. Just think back to how hard it was to learn to walk. 😉 Pray about it and you can use just about anything here and others will help. In Ernie Knoll’s last vision/dream he was shown that the angels were doing the work that man did not do. This is a lie. If you and I do not do our part, it will not get done; reason, it’s ours to do. But ask God about it first.

Hi John,
Nice to hear from you again.
The group I belong to is not an “open group,” that is we are not into growth.
We do encourage growth by showing people what we do and encouraging them to do the same.

We use a free conferencing service.
Here are the sites:

Just go to the sites and setup your conferencing.
Then invite your friends to join in or setup a website to advertise.
We are reading through the Testimonies right now, we just finished No. 13.
And we discuss what we have read. We live hundreds of miles apart and there is no chance of “doing church” like in the days of the pioneers.

Ask God what he wants you to do, it may be start a local meeting.
At some point the dedicated will give the loud cry and shortly after that Christ will appear.
He has a plan for you.
And keep it up, he WILL answer.
I know.

God Bless,
